Host was very nice and gave us a lot of valuable recommendations. The property is really big, has a few bathrooms, a lot of beds and balcony with the nice view.

The Location ist perfect, the River is very closed and perfect for cool down. The rooms ist very big With terracce, Outdoor Kitchen. Everything ist very Clean and new. Unfortunely we stay one nicht there before we fly Back at Home.

Featuring a garden, Eco Guest House - Sarapiquí 1 is situated in Sarapiquí, within 35 km of La Paz Waterfall Gardens and 38 km of Catarata Tesoro Escondido. This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Casa del Cafe-Familiar is a guest house set in a historic building in Heredia, 40 km from Poas National Park. Such a beautiful historic home! The hosts were gracious and kind, and the grounds were beautiful! If we return and need a place to say in the San Jose area this will be at the top of the list!

Casa Ecológica - Sarapiqui is a holiday home featuring a garden with a terrace, located in La Virgen. The property features views of the mountains and is 49 km from San José. Lovely house in the middle of nature, we felt like part of the family. We were surrounded with wildlife (recommend the frog tour with Wendy) and had a very nice walk to a great waterfall nearby!

Welcome to Casa Familiar La Tortuga, your home away from home in Barva de Heredia! It is a family house with very nice people. The room was clean and cozy with a balcony to watch birds. Brakfast was perfect. There was private parking.

Featuring mountain views, Deluxe boutique lodge provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 15 km from Poas National Park. The Deluxe Boutique Lodge was perfect in so many ways. We booked this location to be close to Poas National Park and La Paz Waterfall Garden. It was 20 minutes to one and 10 to the other. Walter met us at the property even though due to weather and construction we were about an hour late. He also became our lifesaver that day. Again, due to weather, a family member was delayed arriving into San Jose. Walter volunteered to drive down to San Jose and pick her up. The property is located on the main road into the small village of Vara Blanca, walking distance to restaurants and shops. The Lodge is super clean and very nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable, the WIFI very good and the huge TV was a welcome diversion during the stormy weather. We do not hesitate to recommend this property
