The hosts gave excellent suggestions about area activities and provided a very helpful map. Watching the sunset from the nearby lake park was terrific.

Breakfast was delicious and hosts polite and helpful. We stayed in a room with two double beds and a small bed. All beds were very comfortable. I slept in the little one on the picture, very cozy!

Lucky Bug is a fantastic place to stay, we had a great time there. Monika and Rob are brilliant hosts, so helpful and made us feel so welcome. Lucky Bug is in a beautiful setting with small lake and rain forest all around and the rooms are lovely and comfortable. Eating on the terrace over looking the lake is a great spot to eat and the food is really good - great breakfast every day! Would thoroughly recommend Lucky Bug.

We woke up the first morning and was not able to see the lake at all. But by the second morning, we could see the lake, mountain ranges, windmills in the distance, it was beautiful. The house was cute and well appointed. Beds were comfortable. Having the pool there during the hot days was awesome. The pool was the perfect place to cool off.

The property was clean, spacious and in a lovely safe location (inside a gated community). The hosts were superb from start to finish, very accommodating and friendly, offering local advice and great recommendations. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and modern and the kitchen area has everything you need. The pool area is amazing.

The lodge is directly located on top of a small plateau of a mountain. The view we had up there is just amazing. The Arenal is exposed really good and sitting at the outside table was a beautiful experience. It is really quiet most of the time, because there is no neighbors. Only during the night it can get a bit loud due to strong winds or rain. The kitchen and bathroom/shower facilties seem really modern. You need a 4x4 car to climb the asphalted road and get to the lodge. The owners were really friendly and communicating was always fast (Whatsapp).

Pie in the Sky 3 Amazing Luxury Home with Lake and Volcano view is a semi-detached holiday home set in El Fosforo in the Alajuela Region and is 13 km from Fortuna. A wonderful place! ... Really "in the sky", all around only nature, no view of houses. Very good for birdwatching, toucans come by daily and hummingbirds are everywhere. There is an observation platform. You can see the volcano and Lake Arenal from everywhere on the property and the many armchairs grouped around the house. The people from the agency are very friendly and helpful. We missed some things in the kitchen and bedside lamps, everything was done immediately. You have to know that there are three units on the property. In addition to the large house with four bedrooms (which we rented), there is a (very) small unit in a kind of garden house for 2 people and another house with 2 bedrooms.

Situated in El Fosforo in the Alajuela Region, this holiday home is 13 km from Fortuna. Guests benefit from patio. A microwave, a toaster and a fridge can be found in the kitchen. The view is amazing. We were waisted because everything we saw during the hikes couldn’t compete with our place. And lot’s of Kolibri’s and butterflies in the garden.
