He took us around Fogo to see these really amazing places. The room was very comfortable, toilets and bathrooms very clean.There was always hot water running from the bathroom taps when needed. I was really thrilled by the craftmanship in the buildings . Jose used larva to build the house, and used recycled bottles in building part of the walls of the bathroom, so much sustainability on display . Jose was also very helpful when i needed to book a last minute flight back to Praia. Thank you Jose

The place is very well set up and the owners are kind and helpful people. It's a family operation with lots of experience in hospitality. The rooms are clean and functional. The meals were nice too. We would definitely stay here again.

Ciza e Rose ligger i Portela og har byudsigt, have og fælles opholdsstue. Der er restaurant på stedet og gratis privat parkering. Of course, the Guesthouse is not comparable to a 3Stars hotel but when you come to this kind of place, Ciza e Rose is exactly the kind of Guesthouse you expect! Rose was born here, he is the right man at the right place and his family is very nice. Rose can speak many languages, including french. The rooms are simple but have all you need. They are big, quiet and all around a patio. Board games are available and we could play Awale and learn a new way to play with Michael, the son. The breakfast was really good and a bit different each day, with cakes... We got a lot of explanations from Rose, who is also a guide if you need. Communication was really easy with them, even before arriving. A "collectivos" picked us up at the airport and Rose organized another one to drop us to Sao Filipe. We eat at the Guesthouse in the evenings. At midday, we went several times to Isabel Restaurant ( actually Isabel is Rose's sister but we didn't know it the first time!). By the way, Rose has 6 brothers/sisters at Portela.

Casa Alcindo ligger i Chã das Caldeiras og har bar. Ejendommen har døgnåben reception og restaurant. Gæsterne kan nyde udsigten over bjergene. The staff was super nice and the food delicious! We did the hike to the vulcano with Alcindo and it was super nice. They’ve attended all our requests, even if last minute! We definitely recommend it!

We took room with bathroom and shower. Room was absolutely amazing. José was there for all our needs. He is a man with golden heart for people. He also guided us to Pico. I highly recommend

Pipi's Guest House ligger i São Filipe, 2,4 km fra Sao Filipe Strand, og har have, terrasse og bar. Samtlige værelser på dette Bed and Breakfast har klædeskab. I had a wonderful stay at Pipi's. You can really tell the place is loved. The food was wonderful and genorous and the cocktail was delicious. Wifi worked well in my room and everything was clean and well organized. They helped arrange a collectivo to the caldiera and made me feel very welcomed as a solo traveler. It's very close to the airport and you can walk there in 7 mins.There is a sign on the left as you leave the parking area about 100 m. The road is basic so keep an eye out for the sign so you don't miss it.

Ze and Sonia were super nice, friendly and accommodating. They could speak French relatively well. The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

EcoFunco ligger i Portela. Der er døgnåben reception og parkering på stedet. Samtlige ferieboliger har klædeskab. Ferieboligerne på dette Bed and Breakfast har eget badeværelse og gratis wi-fi. The stay at Ecofunco was perfect! First the transfer offered by Ecofunco is really helpful. Then, the room is cozy and has all you need. Also, breakfast is really good and tasty :)

Gira Lua ligger i Igreja i Fogo-regionen og har terrasse og havudsigt. Denne feriebolig har balkon med bjergudsigt. Der tilbydes lufthavnstransport og biludlejning. Yulia was an incredible host. We took our time to have a deep conversation with her about life in Fogo. She made us feel like part of her family, she shared with us all Cape Verdean values. She is an incredible cook and an amazing woman who made this journey very special for us. The dinner was massive and extremely delicious, her chicken in tomato sauce and the vegetarian cabbage dish left us speechless. Yulia appears to be a respected member of Mosteiros society and people spoke very well of her, her neighbours gave us fruit for free and were happy to chat with us. If you speak Spanish and you are patient enough, Mosteiros and Yulia can offer you an unforgettable experience.

Tortuga B&B ligger i São Filipe og tilbyder indkvartering ved stranden, få skridt fra Sao Filipe-stranden. Der er have, terrasse og bar. Overnatningsstedet har udsigt til haven. Treasured the breathtaking expansive black sand beach surrounded by mountains and basically having it to ourselves. Peacefulness. Roberto (and his cute dogs) are attentive hosts. He proudly provided a fine dining experience. This was a very natural experience in the outdoor bungalow, beach and tropical grounds compared to the large chain resorts that we normally stay at. Loved the very memorable two days there and great overall value.
