Set 30 minutes from Lanquín, 45 minutes from Semuc Champey, Mountain Nest provides an accommodation in a remote mountain setting outside of Lanquin. A very special place. A wooden hut located in the heart of a forest, surrounded by trees and plants and with stunning views. Darina & Remy are a special couple of people, exemplary hosts and excellent cooks It is advisable to order their vegetarian dinner and buy from the chocolate they make themselves. You need to know that getting there is difficult. Mandatory 4*4 vehicle and the last 200 meters is a walk on a narrow path - you should pack only the equipment you need for the stay in advance. Most recommended experience, we loved the place.

Situated in Chijoú, Paraiso Verde offers accommodation with seating area. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Wonderful little oasis in the jungle just outside Coban. If you plan to visit Orchigonia and/or if you prefer a quiet place near Coban, it’s perfect! Beds are pretty hard but Otto and family were lovely, the food was good and it was a perfect first stop for us after an overnight flight. Just ask the bus to drop you at Orchigonia turnoff.

Set in Cobán in the Alta Verapaz region, AZURA HOTEL BOUTIQUE has a garden. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The staff were all helpful and nice. The dorm is just a set of bunk beds so I had a private room for the night. Warm shower. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel/hostel ever. There is a kitchen guests can use but they charge Q20 to use it. They helped me with the bus to Lanquín and transport from Lanquín to Antigua, but it would have been Q25 cheaper to book the transport to Antigua in Lanquín. And if you book a shuttle in Lanquín they pick you up and you don't have to go to the bus stop yourself.

The rooms are clean with hot shower in bathroom and a reliable WiFi signal. Centrally located with many shops and restaurants around.

The staff will try to accommodate your every need and make your stay as fun and comfortable as possible! The volunteers at Greengo's are amazing, organising different activities every day, which you can join for free if you feel like participating.
