Homestay located in a very peacefull neighborhood, the room is clean and they have comfy communal space. Mas Jali and the team, Mbak Naya and Mas Dewo, are super friendly and helpful. Mas Jali even took me to the local flea market, hunting some old stuff, and we went on a walk to malioboro. The other thing I like on my stay here is I can meet other travelers from various place with various interesting stories.

This beautiful guest house is run by a most lovely man. Bambang was an attentive host, speaks excellent English, and is always willing to help out with whatever you might need. The house has various sitting areas inside and out, a koi pond, and is on a quiet lane just off a main street with shops, restaurants, etc. A huge and delicious Indonesian breakfast is provided (and is different every day!), plus there are free 24 hour snacks and drinks. Also we hired an English speaking guide and driver to take us to our next stay at Borobudur for a very reasonable price. He lives right next door.

The property is well located, quiet, very clean, the room was spacious and clean, the lighting was cosy, the bed was very comfortable, air conditioning functioning and not pointing directly at the bed, which is awesome:). The terrace where you can have coffee or breakfast has nice view over the crowns of the trees.

Maria was excellent with helping us with transportation and things to do and where to eat. Bram was also very attentive to our needs at breakfast. We were there for 3 nights and each morning was a different delicious and beautifully presented breakfast. The location was ideal for walking to the sites. Other than morning prayer at 4:45, it’s a very quiet location.

Almost like a bed and breakfast vibe to it. The people are super sweet and kind! Breakfast is delicious. Location wise it’s great too!

Located in the city of Yogyakarta, just 12 minutes drive away from Malioboro Shopping Street. Raintree Boutique Villa & Gallery is a classic interior villa with Javanese-European design. The whole stay was amazing. This small hotel offers the relaxation one needs after a busy day touring the city. Most importantly though, Pras and his team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Even before the stay Pras was quick in responding to questions and made sure we would have a safe trip from the airport to the hotel. During our stay, Pras and his team organized a driver for our trips to the temples and Surakarta and had great suggestions on sights to see and indonesian restaurants to go to.

Offering a garden and garden view, Bedhot Homestay is situated in Yogyakarta, 5.5 km from Museum Sonobudoyo and 5.9 km from Sultan's Palace. As a solo female traveller this was the perfect place to relax out of the city but easy enough to be scootered to food, drinks and sights. The staff were exceptional - very friendly and always willing to go above and beyond to help and advise, but will give you space to relax with a book if that's your thing. I loved wandering around the rural neighbourhood and felt very safe on my own. The owner organised a cycling tour for me which added another dimension to my enjoyment and understanding of the area. The room was simple and comfortable set in a beautiful, peaceful garden. The design of the property has been well thought out with Javanese furniture and buildings Javanese. This place made my trip to Yogjakarta!
