We arrived and the super nice and friendly host welcomed us in the guesthouse. He gave us very useful hints for our travel and we had a very nice conversation. The guesthouse is put together with a lot of thoughts and love. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need, the decoration tells you a lot about Iceland and once you step into the house, you get a feeling of home. The location is also great, just a few min from the next village (with the secret lagoon). It is dark there in the night, so perfect to see the northern lights. The room we had, was quiet small, but just large enough to open all the language. It had comfortable hangers and a heater for we cloth and the bed was super comfortable. In short, we were super happy with our stay and that for a very very good price!

Situated in Selfoss and only 35 km from Thingvellir National Park, Golden Circle Domes - Glamping Experience features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We loved that it had everything you could think of in a dome in terms of facilities and equipment. It was amazing that 4 people could fit comfortably with the 2 extra mattresses above the main unit. Although there’s no reception, management was on the phone with me and instantly responded to messages when we needed help.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Valhalla Yurts Odin is situated in Selfoss, 41 km from Thingvellir National Park and 42 km from Geysir. Rick and Jitka are perfect hosts! Super friendly and they have a great eye for details. The yurt was VERY charming. Toilet and shower is a few meters away and just as charming as the yurt. It all adds to the experience! Breakfast was great, way too much actually! Absolutely the best stay we had in Iceland on our two week trip. Wish we would have had an extra night here! Tip for anyone complaining about that it's hard to find: just follow the route descriptions you get by e-mail and you will be just fine.

Check-in and check-out was super easy. Communication with our really friendly host always quick and helpful. The apartment is cute and has all you need for two: Well-stocked kitchenette, super clean and modern bathroom, a giant TV (even though we never switched it on), and the place has its own private hot tub in the backyard! The location is perfect as it's just around the corner from Selfoss' central roundabout, so you'll find it easily and have a great base for exploring Iceland's beautiful southside. Also, you can drive to Reykjavík in just about one hour.
