One of the highlights of our stay was witnessing the breathtaking Aurora (Northern Lights) dancing across the sky. With Laos Nest's ideal location near Hella, we were treated to a mesmerizing display of colours, making our stay truly unforgettable. For those planning to catch the Northern Lights during the winter months, I recommend opting for the north facing rooms, as they boast big windows that offer optimal viewing opportunities The rooms were immaculately maintained, spacious, boasting large windows, and providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration. The well-equipped kitchen was a bonus, allowing us to prepare meals at our convenience. However, the real gem of this hotel is the communal area, where guests can unwind and engage in various games. It's a perfect space to socialize and create lasting memories. A standout moment of our stay was Northern lights and indulging in the owner's homemade waffles served with jam and . Waffles were absolutely scrumptious and added an extra touch of warmth to our mornings. Overall, I highly recommend Laos Nest. Whether you're seeking a relaxing getaway or a base for exploring the wonders of nature, this place has it all. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The apartment features family rooms. Everything, the host, the place, the location, the amenities, the comfort, the view. It felt like heaven. When visiting iceland, one must stay here. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. A big thanks to Anna for the most delicious cake.

Hvammból Guesthouse is a small, family-run guest house situated 10 km from Vík. It offers studio apartments featuring a private entrance and small patio from which guests can enjoy views of the hills and endless sky. Beautiful location on a local ranch not far from Vík, Dyrhólaey, Reynisfjara, and many other spots in south Iceland. The apartment is very quiet and peaceful and I loved waking up being greeted by the friendly horses and the cutest little pug walking around to say "hi". There is a guidebook left by the hosts and the instructions beforehand are very clear for accessing the apartment. Parking is right in front of the cabin. The bed was comfortable, the place was very clean, and there were enough kitchen amenities to make some meals yourself instead of eating out each night. I would definitely recommend this peaceful cabin!

Quiet, beautiful scenery, very comfortable, generous breakfast, very friendly homey feel.

Vík town centre is within 20 minutes’ drive, while Skógarfoss Waterfall is even closer. WOW!!! The Guesthouse looked simple outside but inside, it is very beautiful, well planned, well organized. The rooms are big enough, the kitchen is well equipped, clean, spacious and very useful. The toilets and shower were clean and enough for all the guests. There is a nook for those who wants privacy, a sofa with TV to relax or just read a book. The breakfast was amazing!!! The staff very friendly and I would love to book here again very soon!!!
