A recently renovated guest house set in Birkimelur, Strönd Guesthouse features barbecue facilities. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Loved everything about our stay. The room was clean, the location was great and the communal facilities were excellent. Everything had been thought of with so many little touches that meant so much - handy sandwich boxes, food bags, foil etc. We were pleasantly surprised to receive extra coffee pods and fresh towels part way through our stay.

Located in Patreksfjörður, in a historic building, 23 km from Pollurinn, Pálshús is a guest house with a garden and shared lounge. Perfect location for our itinerary. Beautiful views. Very comfortable rooms. Clean, wonderful updates.

Situated in Flateyri, in a historic building, 21 km from Pollurinn Hot Spring, The Old Bookstore is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a garden and shared lounge. The town is beautiful and the Old Bookstore is a perfect place to stay - it's beautifully decorated and really cosy

Maybe the best private house we stayed in Iceland! Wooden, warm and cosy with a hot tub outside! Very clean and comfortable! We stayed (one couple) for one night only and we wished that we stayed more! Extra bonus: the Northern Lights appeared while we were taking our bath in the hot tub outside!! Many thanks for the whole experience! Should be one of the first options to stay in Iceland!

The best accommodation we had on Iceland. Everything was perfect, very modern cottage! And private hot tub was the best after long days of driving. It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

We arrived ahead of our scheduled time, but our host was there, cleaning the houses, so we got our keys right away and also had a good chat with him. The system at Bjarkarholt Guesthouse is: do it yourself. So we had to make our own beds and also take off the linen and towels and stow them in a bag, when we left. It's not a big deal and you save some money. The houses have a working kitchen, fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster. Wi-fi was fine too.
