This is a hidden gem in heart of Flateyri. We spent there a romantic New Years Eve and we were more than amazed by this beautful experience. It is a family run bookstore/accommodation business for decades with nicely preserved antique interior. Host gave us a quick tour in the building. Kitchen was full of kitchenware, spices, sweets and food for breakfast. Lots of books, boardgames, guitar to play and so on. This is one of 2 best places in Vestfirdir for a romantic stay.

And private hot tub was the best after long days of driving. Totally recommend this place for accommodation 12/10.

Located on the ground floor, this guest house comes with 1 bedroom, a well-equipped kitchen with a microwave and a toaster, a living room, and a flat-screen TV. Towels and bed linen are provided in the guest house. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. simple but completely clean studio apartment with plenty of space for two people. It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

We had an amazing helpful and funny host, he replies immediately and sended us lots of updates about auroras, weather, etc. A modern and fully equipped guestroom with large kitchen, common and dinning area, living room area with boardgames, puzzles and extra comfy couches. Amenities and facilities are top notch. The guesthouse also has huge windows with the best views to the ocean. We slept really well. There is also a natural hot pool and hot tub right in front of the place, which is a nice vacation addition.

I was able to do all my laundry and the host was very friendly and responsive to my messages. A great little home for the night.
