The room was clean, the location was great and the communal facilities were excellent. Everything had been thought of with so many little touches that meant so much - handy sandwich boxes, food bags, foil etc. We were pleasantly surprised to receive extra coffee pods and fresh towels part way through our stay.

El Mófellsstaðakot se encuentra en Borgarnes, en la región de Islandia occidental, y ofrece una terraza. Fjola and Jon were outstanding hosts. Our apartment on their farm was a haven for our stay near Borgarnes. Views of the surrounding fields were great, and such a nice change from city hotels. The apartment had everything we needed, including a filter coffee maker. The weather turned overnight, and roads were closed the next morning. Fjola kindly informed us of this and offered that we could stay longer, which was very generous.

La casa está completamente reformada y su historia (que podréis leer en un póster enmarcado en el comedor) es muy bonita. Desde nuestra habitación se podía ver el mar entrar en el fiordo, escuchar las gabiotas...fue precioso. En cuanto a la casa, la compartimos con un grupo de 4 amigas, que se alojaron en la planta superior, y una chica que viajaba sola, que se alojaba en la planta inferior. Pese a ser 7 en la casa, los espacios son suficientemente grandes y cómodos para todos.

The Old Bookstore se encuentra en Flateyri y ofrece salón compartido y jardín. Este bed and breakfast tiene vistas al jardín y está a 18 km de Ísafjörður. This is a hidden gem in heart of Flateyri. We spent there a romantic New Years Eve and we were more than amazed by this beautful experience. It is a family run bookstore/accommodation business for decades with nicely preserved antique interior. Host gave us a quick tour in the building. Kitchen was full of kitchenware, spices, sweets and food for breakfast. Lots of books, boardgames, guitar to play and so on. This is one of 2 best places in Vestfirdir for a romantic stay.

El Hvammur (Hrakhólar) está situado en Kaldrananes y ofrece jardín, zona de parrilla, terraza, bañera de hidromasaje privada, conexión wifi gratis y vistas al jardín. The best accommodation we had on Iceland. Everything was perfect, very modern cottage! And private hot tub was the best after long days of driving. Totally recommend this place for accommodation 12/10.
