Kirinda Heaven - Yala, a property with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden, is set in Kirinda, 700 metres from Kirinda Beach, less than 1 km from Nidangala Beach, as well as 14 km from Tissa Wewa. I stayed one night at Kirinda Heaven. It’s a beautiful, family run property. The property is fairly new so all of the accommodations are modern. It also has a stand alone bungalow room, which I stayed in, which is like having one’s own little home! There is a beautiful pool on the property as well. The family that runs the property is great and will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.

Everything was spectacular!! The staff were so welcoming and attentive, the food was delicious. THE VIEWS !!!! The swimming pool, the peace and quiet, the lake.. we didn’t even pay attention to the villa itself and still it was gorgeous and comfy. But the service, the place the location. Wow! We saw buffalos from the room, a crocodile, peacocks… it was AMAZING

Featuring garden views, Tribe Yala - Luxury Camping offers accommodation with a garden, a bar and a shared lounge, around 12 km from Tissa Wewa. It was a beautiful setting and the safari tents and recreational areas were really comfortable and blended in so well with the surroundings. The experience feels very special, authentic to the local area, and not flashy. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind and genuine. They went the extra mile at every turn. The plunge pool outside our tent was such a refreshing and welcome feature. We loved the breakfast and meals, and had such a memorable stay that our family won’t forget! Special mention to Bandara and his team for wonderful hospitality and food. Big thanks and kudos to our leopard spotting guide Dinesh (spelling?) and our super safe driver/guide. We had a wonderful trip to Yala National park and Tribe Yala made the whole experience even more memorable.

Located within less than 1 km of Tissa Wewa and 25 km of Bundala Bird Sanctuary in Tissamaharama, Tissa Rainbow Guest & Yala provides accommodation with seating area. The air conditioning worked well plus a strong ceiling fan. The room was clean as well and the host provided an adapter in the room. He also welcomed us with two fresh coconut waters and on the morning of our safari at 5am he was kind enough to make us coffee. On our last day he gave us fresh watermelon slices before checking out. We were also picked up and dropped off from the bus station by the host. Very helpful and kind. Would recommend

Offering a garden and lake view, Blue Sky Hotel Yala is located in Yala, 3 km from Tissa Wewa and 28 km from Bundala Bird Sanctuary. Clean air-conditioned room, large balcony, safe and peaceful location. Arranged tours of Yala and provided a large quality breakfast. Property communicated well and were so helpful with local suggestions. Great value for the price.

Mailagama Cinnamon Residence features free WiFi and views of mountain in Sellakataragama. Featuring a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Great host. Took us through their spice trail and cinnamon processing plant which was a great experience!

Spread across 2 acres of lakefront property, Wild Lotus Yala is set in a quiet rural village close to Yala National Park. Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The staff goes above and beyond thank you Justin & team). The room was massive, felt like a house - beautiful decorated and comfortable. The pool was gorgeous. We had the best safari driver - thank you Nelson! Food was delicious. Highly recommended!

Located just 2.5 km from Tissa Wewa, Blue Birds Tissa & Yala safari provides accommodation in Tissamaharama with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Such a wondeful place to stay. The host is so helpful and friendly. He helped us arrange a safari with a very good guide and took us around to local attractions like birdwatching and batwatching and made getting to and from Tissa easy. Good food and clean room.

Boasting lake views, Lake Face Cabana offers accommodation with balcony, around 4.5 km from Tissa Wewa. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Our time in this place was a genuinely beautiful experience. Equipped with binoculars, we enjoyed observing birds by the lake during the day. In the evening, the owner generously offered us a ride to a larger lake, where we had the opportunity to look at the bird nests and trees full of bats in the middle of the lake. The family was exceptionally helpful, providing us with delicious meals and engaging in friendly conversations. Additionally, they organised a memorable safari for us. We felt truly welcomed and embraced by their hospitality.
