Excelent Hotel, probably one of the best we visited during our trip for cleanliness and friendly staff. They have a beautiful small pool perfect for the hottest hours of the day. Very tasty breakfast. 15 minutes walk from the center, they also have free bikes.

The house is huge, the neighborhood is very nice, kids out and playing until late, and it is a 20 minute walk to the main square of Leon. (There's also a c$6 bus that stops outside the front door, and taxis are about c$50). You get a look into parts of the town that are not the center. Breakfast was excellent and varied, and the Wi-Fi clocked in at 50Mbps so easily fast enough for Zoom calls and the like. If you have an oversized vehicle, there is a secured lot around the corner (in front of the basketball court) that charges c$30/day. The on-site garage will handle regular vehicles.

JAKES ON THE BEACH ligger i Las Peñitas, under 80 m fra Las Peñitas Strand og 1,4 km fra Poneloya Strand. Der tilbydes værelser med aircondition og eget badeværelse. It’s was perfect spot to destress and relax. The service was so exceptional we asked to stay an additional day.

Wabi Sabi er et nyrenoveret pensionat i León, hvor gæsterne kan nyde den udendørs swimmingpool, haven og baren. We loved our stay at Wabi Sabi. The staff were all super friendly and we felt at home right away - they also have a cat and a kitten who were adorable (we miss them already). We found it to be more like a guest house than a hostel, it’s nice and quiet and a good breakfast is provided each morning - prepared whenever you want. The common areas are comfortable and there’s a pool which was great for afternoon dips in the León heat. The kitchen is really well equipped, it felt like cooking at home and there’s water provided for free. The hostel is located in a quieter part of town but still less than 10 minutes to walk to the centre - we liked this as it meant it wasn’t too noisy at night. We would really recommend staying here.

Camping Ojo de Agua ligger i Nagarote i Leon-regionen og har have. Det ligger 1,8 km fra El Transito Strand og har fælles køkken. Campingpladsen har familieværelser. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, quiet and peaceful community feeling. Intact mosquito nets for each guest were a big plus. Great stay overall!

Nimbu Beachhouse har udsigt til den indre gårdhave og tilbyder indkvartering med have, omkring få skridt fra El Transito Strand. Nibu is a slice of paradise. It has stunning views and was so cute. loved Gretal! She’s amazing, so sweet, so kind, and so caring. She is a fantastic cook as well. All the food was delicious. She also introduced me to her family and gave me a few rides. One was to get my bus and another to Nimbu after the sun had set. I enjoyed practicing my Spanish with her as well. 10/10

Casa Todo Bueno ligger i El Tránsito, blot få skridt fra stranden El Transito. Der tilbydes indkvartering med adgang til udendørs swimmingpool, have og fælles køkken. Jon, Janelle and Lenny's (the boss dog!) place is well worth the stay. Their hospitality is warm, friendly and very helpful, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, spacious, and the beds are super comfortable. The common area and kitchen are really well stocked with cookware, and there's a little grocery store across the street as well as in the town. We loved the viewing deck for lounging in the day. The AC cost (if you use it) is also below the going rate for using AC in Nicaragua, and the ceiling fans / windows move the air around really well. We've been to El Transito a few times and it's by far one of the best deals / places to stay, we're going back again in a few days! You can also ask then questions about what to do and how to get around, they know the area very well and are really helpful.
