Bananoz Surfhouse is situated on the seafront in El Tránsito, a few steps from El Transito Beach. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property and private parking is available on site. 11/10 stay. Owners were so lovely and friendly. The property was clean and comfortable. Beach right out front. Can’t beat it!

Hotel Al Sole features free bikes, garden, a bar and shared lounge in León. Excelent Hotel, probably one of the best we visited during our trip for cleanliness and friendly staff. They have a beautiful small pool perfect for the hottest hours of the day. Very tasty breakfast. 15 minutes walk from the center, they also have free bikes.

Habitación en casa Familiar is located in León and offers a terrace. This homestay features a garden and free private parking. Here, you come as a guest and feel like family! The house is huge, the neighborhood is very nice, kids out and playing until late, and it is a 20 minute walk to the main square of Leon. (There's also a c$6 bus that stops outside the front door, and taxis are about c$50). You get a look into parts of the town that are not the center. Breakfast was excellent and varied, and the Wi-Fi clocked in at 50Mbps so easily fast enough for Zoom calls and the like. If you have an oversized vehicle, there is a secured lot around the corner (in front of the basketball court) that charges c$30/day. The on-site garage will handle regular vehicles.

Situated within 80 metres of Las Peñitas Beach and 1.4 km of Poneloya Beach, JAKES ON THE BEACH features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Las Peñitas. It’s was perfect spot to destress and relax. The service was so exceptional we asked to stay an additional day.

The Wabi Sabi is a recently renovated guest house in León, where guests can makes the most of its outdoor swimming pool, garden and bar. We loved our stay at Wabi Sabi. The staff were all super friendly and we felt at home right away - they also have a cat and a kitten who were adorable (we miss them already). We found it to be more like a guest house than a hostel, it’s nice and quiet and a good breakfast is provided each morning - prepared whenever you want. The common areas are comfortable and there’s a pool which was great for afternoon dips in the León heat. The kitchen is really well equipped, it felt like cooking at home and there’s water provided for free. The hostel is located in a quieter part of town but still less than 10 minutes to walk to the centre - we liked this as it meant it wasn’t too noisy at night. We would really recommend staying here.

Located in Nagarote in the Leon Region region, Camping Ojo de Agua has a garden. It is set 1.8 km from El Transito Beach and offers a shared kitchen. The campground features family rooms. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, quiet and peaceful community feeling. Intact mosquito nets for each guest were a big plus. Great stay overall!

Boasting inner courtyard views, Nimbu Beachhouse offers accommodation with a garden, around a few steps from El Transito Beach. Nibu is a slice of paradise. It has stunning views and was so cute. loved Gretal! She’s amazing, so sweet, so kind, and so caring. She is a fantastic cook as well. All the food was delicious. She also introduced me to her family and gave me a few rides. One was to get my bus and another to Nimbu after the sun had set. I enjoyed practicing my Spanish with her as well. 10/10

Located just a few steps from El Transito Beach, Casa Todo Bueno features accommodation in El Tránsito with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. Jon, Janelle and Lenny's (the boss dog!) place is well worth the stay. Their hospitality is warm, friendly and very helpful, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, spacious, and the beds are super comfortable. The common area and kitchen are really well stocked with cookware, and there's a little grocery store across the street as well as in the town. We loved the viewing deck for lounging in the day. The AC cost (if you use it) is also below the going rate for using AC in Nicaragua, and the ceiling fans / windows move the air around really well. We've been to El Transito a few times and it's by far one of the best deals / places to stay, we're going back again in a few days! You can also ask then questions about what to do and how to get around, they know the area very well and are really helpful.

Hostal San Antonio features a garden and a shared lounge in León. This bed and breakfast features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. Really lovely and helpful staff! Very spacious bathroom and we loved the little terrace.

Situated in León in the Leon Region region, El Callejon Guest House has a patio. This homestay provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. The owner are very kind. The location is good. The room is very clean.. all is perfect
