Part of a larger house, Frankie & Hugh's is a renovated, self-contained apartment situated in Ohakune, just a 20-minute drive from the Turoa ski field on Mount Ruapehu. The location!! Darling cottage in a beautiful garden. Host is so nice.

Located in Ohakune at the foothills of Mt Ruapehu, Rocky Mountain Chalets Ohakune provides accommodation with free WiFi, mountain views, and access to 2 hot tubs and a sauna. Very close to town. Included washer and dryer and laundry soap. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were late leaving, and the staff were very gracious about our problems.

Ranfurly Cottage is located in the historic township of Raetihi. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a patio and a private bathroom with free toiletries. So many thoughtful touches, a fantastic breakfast, cosy cottage with the fire on when we arrived. Under floor heating in the bathrooms. And amazing hosts! Truly loved our stay.

With free WiFi, a tour desk and free BBQ facilities, Tongariro Suites is nestled on 2.5 acres with breathtaking mountain views. Free continental breakfast supplies are available in-room upon arrival. Tongariro Suites is located right within the national park, and the studio room we stayed in was beautiful and extremely clean. There were snacks and food for breakfast that was already put together in our kitchenette when we arrived which was convenient since we were leaving early in the morning and wouldn't have time to stop anywhere for food. There was also a private patio outside our room that overlooked a pond as well as a larger patio outside the common area with a hot tub and outdoor furniture. Strong Wi-Fi and free parking onsite were also a plus!

Free breakfast, free WiFi and free parking are all included at The River Lodge, offering spacious rooms with satellite TV. You can relax in the 6-person hot tub or in a hammock beside the river. My partner and I stayed at the River Lodge during our Christmas/ summer holiday and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The hosts are fantastic, great vibes all round! The included breakfast was delicious and we had all the amenities we needed. Well worth the price and experience away from a chain hotel. The setting is so green, relaxing and warm. We slept so well as it was so quiet. Highly recommend you stay here if you are planning to hike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing - Dani can organise a direct shuttle to/from the track for you.
