Two Rivers Ohakune features free WiFi and views of mountain in Ohakune. The accommodation features ski storage space, a drying room and a hot tub. Guests can enjoy river views. Beautiful location, although the room was small it was very well organised. The large selection of breakfast items, including for vegans, fresh fruit, nuts and crisps, was very generous. We really appreciated the personal welcome and detailed explanation of how everything worked, including the hot tub. The gardens and views are stunning, the short forest walk into Ohakune town for dinner was also wonderful. We would definitely recommend a stay at Two Rivers.

Offering a garden and river view, Riversong is situated in Ohakune, 38 km from Mount Ruapehu and 34 km from Turoa. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming, and their home was very comfortable and cosy.

Part of a larger house, Frankie & Hugh's is a renovated, self-contained apartment situated in Ohakune, just a 20-minute drive from the Turoa ski field on Mount Ruapehu. Breakfast was in the frig; bacon,eggs, toast and fruit. Lovely, friendly hosts with beautiful gardens. Highly recommended.

Located in Ohakune at the foothills of Mt Ruapehu, Rocky Mountain Chalets Ohakune provides accommodation with free WiFi, mountain views, and access to 2 hot tubs and a sauna. Very close to town. Included washer and dryer and laundry soap. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were late leaving, and the staff were very gracious about our problems.

Ranfurly Cottage is located in the historic township of Raetihi. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a patio and a private bathroom with free toiletries. Nice room in a great apartment. Well located near the national park. Very friendly owners. I really enjoyed the interesting conversations with them.

My partner and I stayed at the River Lodge during our Christmas/ summer holiday and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The hosts are fantastic, great vibes all round! The included breakfast was delicious and we had all the amenities we needed. Well worth the price and experience away from a chain hotel. The setting is so green, relaxing and warm. We slept so well as it was so quiet. Highly recommend you stay here if you are planning to hike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing - Dani can organise a direct shuttle to/from the track for you.
