Located in a wine producing estate, on the right bank of Douro River, Quinta De La Rosa is a family owned property, 2 km from Pinhão. Rooms at this working vineyard are spread over several levels. Everything. Wine tasting and tour was exceptional. The guide was very informed and pleasant. My meal that evening was one of the best I've had in a Portugal since arriving two weeks ago. Huge compliments to the chef. The waiting staff were very efficient and friendly.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. Our host was amazing, friendly and generous with drink and food and friendship. I loved the sweet cherry tree and views of the vineyards.

Situated within 13 km of Natur Waterpark and 37 km of Douro Museum, Casa do Santo - Wine & Tourism features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Provesende. Fabulous views over the Douro valley! The owner was very friendly and helpful. However note that the closest restaurant is 10 min away by car.

Offering mountain views, A Tendinha - Guest House is an accommodation located in Peso da Régua, 1.1 km from Douro Museum and 14 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

Moinhos do Paiva is set in Castelo de Paiva and features a private pool and mountain views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Spectacular place with a lake view. The place is perfect to disconnect and be surrounded by nature. Ana from the staff was amazing, very thoughtful and open to help. For sure will be a place to come back again.

Quinta de Travassinhos is a magical place in the Douro Valley with beautiful views, outstanding ambiance and exceptional hospitality. Helena & Ricardo have painstakingly restored and renovated the property into something rare and special where modern amenities and comfort meet the beauty of a working farm and vineyard. Their kindness and attention to customer service is world class, and is matched by their knowledge of the history of the area and willingness to share the stories of their journey to create their dream. While my partner and I were there, we enjoyed morning hikes through the vineyards, daily trips to regional towns, afternoon dips in the indoor salt water spa pool, and evening dinners where our hosts and staff provided upscale-rustic regional cuisine, local wines and port, and wonderful conversation with both hosts and guests. This will be somewhere we will hopefully be able to revisit in the coming years as it truly is one of our favourites of all time!

Set in Vila Nova de Foz Coa and only 18 km from Longroiva Hot Springs, Eira da Fraga offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The space was very clean and the location in the middle of nowhere but close from the city was perfect

Located within 17 km of Longroiva Hot Springs and 41 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Apartamentos Barbosa offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vila Nova de Foz Coa. Really nice apartment in good location. Welcome fruit basket and water was greatly appreciated.

FAFEL LITTLE HOUSE - Quinta de Cravaz, a property with a bar, is set in Lamego, 1.4 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, 16 km from Douro Museum, as well as 36 km from Natur Waterpark. This little house is just that, everything is there, but small. The way it is organized, however makes it very comfortable for a base of visiting the town. You can make your breakfast in the morning and take off to see the local sights and everything is close. You can actually see the top of the Sanctuary (with all the steps) from the windows. It is quiet and the bed is comfy. Our bus didn't leave till mid afternoon and the hosts let us stay an extra couple hours-thanks.
