Very clean and cosy B&B (or minsu 民宿, as they call it in Taiwan). I had a single room which is quite small but exactly suitable for one person. All of the amenities were brand new. For same price in Taipei one could expect a run down place with a sparkle of creepiness, but this B&B was exeptionally good. Location is also great, just 400 meters away from the Meinong Bus station and downtown area. Free bicycles provided for customers is also amazing, since Meinong is extremely walking unfriendly. getting around on a bicycle or scooter is a must.

A nice home feel with a great host (Melody) who could not have been more friendly and accomodating. She was great. Good location near the subway, Pier 2 art centre and good food options. Nice strong shower and extremely clean. The roof terrace is also very nice for breakfast or a drink.

Kaohsiung 85 Building Sam's house se nachází v Kaohsiungu, 2,4 km od mola Love Pier, a nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi. K dispozici je také sdílený lounge a bar. Staying at Sam's House in Kaohsiung 85 Building was quite an experience! The room itself was absolutely gorgeous! My favorite part of our stay was the view! Ah... the view!! :) Amazing seaside and city views with a cozy area to put pillows and watch the skyline and boats. It was an unforgettable experience. The mattress was comfortable as was the couch in the living room area. Everything was remote controlled from the window shades, smart tv, music and huge projection screen. The bathtub is a traditional Japanese style and was very relaxing to use while you look at the skyline (if desired, window shade was available for privacy) or watch the mini tv in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower room was incredible and will literally blow you away if you desire! Think... the episode of Kramer in Seinfeld. lol! There was also a Japanese toilet which is always a treat as these are not common in the Western part of the world. There are no longer snacks on a different floor but housekeeping does provides a few treats in the room. Great communication with Housekeeping; they were very accommodating and helpful. they did my laundry since the washer takes a while to run. It's true that the 85 Building is a bit tired and a little sad but if you can look beyond this the rooms at Sam's House are the exact opposite and will make your stay in Kaohsiung a memorable time! Definitely recommend!

Near train station, youbike and 7-11 just across the street and the room is clean and neat. The owner are very friendly. He sent me details informations of recommended restaurants and nearby attractions. Will be back for sure!
