I know someone here said they were like coffins but that is just the enclosed top one and it is like that with a secure wooden side so you don't fall out as triple bunks are high. The privacy is great with black out curtains on all the bunks so you can sleep if the lights go on and you feel like you can shut yourself off if you don't want to talk to other travellers. There is a small storage box at the end of the bed as well as a light and plug socket. The mattress was super comfy and the room was warm.JonUnited Kingdom
