Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.

Beautiful old world charm. A throw back to the colonial rule. Room was large. View is supposed to be amazing if the clouds just wanted to lift There's a free shuttle to and from the market.

A 1841 property - learnt as one of the first 5 houses in Darj - maintained in British style with 180 year old wooden roof, floors, antique furnishing, LIVE FIREPLACE, antique collections, huge rooms. Thrilling exceptional experience. Rupam, the Manager, is ever enthusiastic and bubbling with energy explaining everything along with history. Decent, polite staff. Located at 5 mins walk from Raj Bhavan and Kanchenjangha view point. Overall very exceptional property.

The hotel has an old world charm. All of the staff were very welcoming and polite. The Christmas Eve and Christmas night bonfire and live singer was definitely a winner. The electric blankets in the beds was a nice touch to the cold. The bathrooms were clean and modern and the shuttle service to Mall Road made it accessible.

The location of the property is very nice but a little far away from the Mall . It's steep walk, so you will always need the shuttle provided by the property. Only caveat shuttle is available only for a particular time window. The staff behavior is very good. They go out of the way to help, given all the constraints.

There are two nice little huts in an idyllic, rural environment and the host family takes great care of the guests. If you wish, they offer tasty meals for lunch and diner also, including vegetables from the garden. We much enjoyed our stay and the warm welcome of the family. Beware that the access road to this little village is rather rough, so transport needs some organisation ahead.

The views from the balcony are stunning. The property includes a beautiful garden . The hosts cooked such wonderful food . Home cooking at its best. And more than anything else , the hosts were really lovely. They made you feel welcome, they were really chatty and they had a fantastic sense of humour. You might get to have a sip of the Bhutan whiskey. Thank-you for some really great memories.
