We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments 'Colibri' which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed a few themes over our stay, we also enjoyed the Creole evening.The pool area was immaculate. We had a great welcome from the owners who spoke excellent English and they allow guests to continue to use the pool area and a bathroom if they are catching a late flight which is always really helpful. I highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

Endroit parfait, Vue extraordinaire. Patrick est très serviable et très accueillant. Je recommande Vista Linda pour un séjour très agréable et reposant à Rio San Juan

Situé à Cabarete, dans la province de Puerto Plata, l'établissement El Encuentro Surf Lodge vous accueille à 300 mètres de la plage d'Encuentro. We had a fabulous time at El Encuentro Surf Lodge. It was like a boutique resort with super friendly staff, wonderful food, beautiful scenery and more! Would highly recommend staying here.

I loved the peaceful location- down an unpaved track , elevated location with far reaching views. The hosts and their team of staff are just very lovely people- there is a sort of old school home away from home feel to the place. The food is just great in that there are plenty of really healthy options- fresh ingredients and home cooked items. They arranged for me to hike with a neighbour- a french lady who has 10 years experience of all the local tracks- on horseback and on foot...it was fabulous. It was great to have hot water and quality towels and bed linen. I really felt very comfortable here as a solo traveller.

The design of treehouse was unique and memorable. It felt like we were part of nature and not trying to escape it. For breakfast, the food and service were great. They offered daily specials and a vast menu. The central location on the island is great for exploring north and south. The staff were friendly and accommodating in every way.
