Anya is an amazing host and we had a wonderful time there (and great food) surrounded by nature! You can trust him with the rice field tour as he knows everything about the place and he will show you every side of the agricultural life of Tetebatu, alongside with black monkeys and waterfalls. It was a beautiful experience to stay with him and his family and we wish them the best for the future!

The owner is also a expert guide for the rinjani trekking and he was very helpful and honest with us with all the questions that we asked about the trekking. We couldn't go up on the Vulcano 'cause the rainy season but he was really helpful to give us other options around the area. When I'll come back for the rinjani trekking I would definitely come back here and organizing my trip with him. The accomodation was also the best value with money that we found so far during our trip around north Lombok area. The beds are very comfortable, with mosquitoes net and there is hot shower. The food is also very good and not expensive. The location is also very good for visiting some beautiful waterfall around (we reached them by walk).

I loved this place, only stayed for one night but could have stayed another 5. The view from the room is amazing and I had hot water in my room. My stay at Sembalun Kita Cottage was one of the highlights of my entire trip. I met fellow travellers here who had done Rinjani, and as a solo traveller it is always a good sign if the accommodation is able to facilitate contact between guests. The room itself was gorgeous, waking up every morning with the view from the balcony really put me in the right headpsace for the day ahead. The real highlight at this accomodation was the staff - each staff member was friendly and did everything they could to meet the needs of the customer, day or night. The food that I had at the hostel was really excellent,and this is important considering most of the local places close at about 7pm, so if you want to eat a bit later in the evening, it's important that the hostel provides good quality food, which was the case at Sembalun Kita Cottages. The surrounding area is so incredivle I ended up extending my stay, and I organised a tour guide for Pergasingan Hill for sunrise which was truly epic! Can't rate Sembalun Kita Cottage highly enough, and Sembalun is a must for everyone visiting Lombok
