Milky Way is inside Wadi Rum protected area and 7 km far from Wadi Rum's village. Milky Way Ecolodge also includes a barbecue. Guests can enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant. My friend and I stayed at Milky Way Bedouin Camp and really enjoyed our time here. The view from the Camp is fantastic, especially for the sunrise. And the food was fantastic too. We especially loved the ful medames they gave us for lunch and of course, the zarb as well. The room was super comfortable. And with large windows, you can fall asleep looking out at the stars and waking up to the sunrise over the red sands. What really made the experience fantastic was the camp guide who took us around. Extremely friendly and funny, he ferried us around to the different spots driving like a madman (but always making sure we were safe sitting at the back of the truck throughout) and also taking the time to give us insight about his life in the desert.

I had one of the most amazing experiences in Desert’s soul. They were very kind and helpful. When I arrived at the visitor center, he picked me up and arranged transportation on the way home. The location is unbelievable. I could see the beautiful sunset. They use natural energies. I enjoyed riding a camel. Thank you for everything.

With mountain views, Blue Camel is located in Wadi Rum and has a restaurant, a kids' club, bar, garden, terrace and children's playground. Our host, Abu Tunis, made our stay absolutely wonderful. He was available day and night, to cater to each and every one of our whims and wishes. He personally took out a whole day, to show us every corner of the spectacular Wadi Rum desert during a jeep tour. This included well-known places such as Lawrence's house, and the mushroom rock, but also many hidden gems, unvisited by most tourists. It is abundantly clear, that Abu Tunis loves the desert, and passionately shares his love with his guests. For us, it was the best introduction to Wadi Rum we could have hoped for. We had brought along an astronomical telescope, hoping to enjoy the famous dark skies above. Abu Tunis took us to a secluded part of the desert, only for our fun to be spoiled by a sudden onset of cloud cover. Two nights later, he drove us out again, and this time we had the perfect stargazing experience. Be sure to ask him about it, when you meet him! All in all, we had the best possible stay at Wadi Rum, and we are certain we will look back at it with fond memories for a long time to come!
