Frank and the staff were very accommodating and made sure we were always taken care of. The food was amazing and we loved falling asleep to the sounds of the Amazon! The naturally beautiful location right on the water was just superb!

My guide Larry met me at the airport and we travelled to the lodge. Although it was 3 hours time went fast watching the landscape go by. It was dry season for my visit so unfortunately the river way very low and the lodge was not on the river as per photographed on booking. I do wish this was explained. Otherwise i had an amazing 5 days. The accommodation was clean, the food was ok. It was different everyday but simple. My guide Larry was exceptional. His knowledge of the jungle, outstanding, and his English was perfect. We made a plan on arriving for what it would like to do in my time. Highlight was the caiman night tour and lily pads.

Juan and his team are doing a great job. Our guide Josias made our experience even more outstanding.

يعتبر Amazon Muyuna Lodge فندق ريفي في غابة Iquitos يقع على شاطئ نهر الأمازون، على بعد 3 ساعات من وسط Iquitos. يقدم إقامة بنظام 3 وجبات طعام ومجموعة من رحلات النهر والغابة الإستكشافية. All the meals were great and authentic to the area,good variety. The four days were all scheduled from morning to night which we loved. So much to experience from nocturnal jungle hikes and going out in the nocturnal hunt canoe ride. Many boat excursions, swam near pink dolphins, caught several piranha fish, saw many species unique to the area. Birdwatching. Took out the kayak and paddle board during our 2 hour afternoon rest. The remote private bungalows were so comfortable and clean. Loved resting in the hammock on our balcony. Guide Mosises spoke English well , very knowledgeable and grew up in the area. Flew to Iquito, had hotel pick up, a van drove part way before loading the boat to go down the Amazon river to our remote lodge 140 km upstream from Iguito. Very easy all inclusive experience.

Most important to mention is the great team - Victor realises every customer wish, Carlos is an exceptional guide and Leo cooks delicious for literally every meal. As well as all the others do a great job too. Big thank you to all of them, you made our stay unforgettable!! Other than that, the location, facility and the tours are great. We stayed 3 nights and it exceeded our expectations as the pictures don’t really show how beautiful it actually is there.

After having stayed a night in Iquitos, I wanted to experience the jungle and decided to stay at a lodge. I am thrilled that I chose the Jacamar lodge - not necessarily for the lodge (basic and rustic accommodation, fairly priced), but because of the fantastic staff at the lodge and the amazing tour guide. I booked a night at the lodge, and was soon contacted to arrange a guide through the lodge (a must do, as it is difficult to explore independently). My guide Christian knew the jungle inside out, spotted so many animals, was telling beautiful stories about the life in the jungle, and was very knowledgable about the plants and animals. In my two days in the jungle I did a jungle walk, night walk to spot reptiles (saw frogs, snakes, tarantulas, other spiders, bats, etc.), a 5:30 am sunset birdwatching cruise, dolphin spotting, and we went to a rescue center for monkeys rescued from the exotic animal trade. Please note that these were the activities that I wanted to do - Christian said from the beginning that I can chose what to do, and he will guide me. The activities were exceptional, but even the boat rides through the big and small rivers framed by dense forest, looking to spot animals and hearing about life in the jungle was magical. The food at the lodge was very good. At the beginning they asked me about allergies and if I don't eat specifc things - I only eat fish and vegetarian food, and they cooked me great meals using the regional ingredients from the jungle.

Good for a break from the harsh environment. The guide Mr Lewis is experience and friendly. We went to visit the villages. Overall was a good experience for a break.

The location is amazing -- right on the banks of the Amazon river. The lodge is completely screened in so you can experience the sights and sounds of nature (without all the mosquitoes). The family room is perfect for a family with 2-3 kids. Many other places don't have a pool and let me tell you -- the pool is a lifesaver to cool down in the hot afternoons! Our English-speaking guide did a great job personalizing daily adventures each day, from ziplining to visiting wild animals. The food was phenomenal! The chef was able to accommodate our pescatarian diet. Overall, they welcomed us like family and we would recommend the Avatar for a once in a lifetime experience!
