I arrived on the Titicaca train in the early evening, and a driver had been organized to drive me to the local port, where I was escorted by Juan, an exceptional host in every sense of the word, to the island which he and his father had built. During my stay there, Juan invited me on mini tours around some of the islands, where I learned more about Uros culture and history. The Peruvian meals prepared by his wife Amalia were exceptional- always on time, delicious, substantial and inviting. I was never hungry. Juan ensured that my stay at Amalia was truly exceptional and something which I'll never forget- watching the starry nights from a comfortable and warm bed, enjoying the sounds of silence of the lake, being mesmerized by the sunsets, and learning more about the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. This was truly an amazing experience!

I honestly feel so lucky that I decided to stay at this place. The room is huge with a breathtaking view for sunset and sunrise. It’s completely quite and you feel alone with only nature and ducks around you. Carlos was such an amazing host, taking the time to explain to me the history of the lake, the culture. I was basically alone with him in the boat having a tour of the island, far from the mass tourism. If you truly want a one of a kind experience, book here and with no hesitation. Specially when I heard many people not having a good experience at lake, because they stayed at Puno or a different place. I feel so fortunate that I was able to have a complete opposite experience. Taking into consideration the location of the place, the stay was great. The owner was very nice, the room was surprisingly good for being on a reed island. The food was good, too. Pick-up & drop-off from Puno was offered and easy to arrange (even really early in the morning). The owner was easy to communicate with since we had some questions before arrival.

Our stay at Titicaca couldn’t have been more amazing than at Uros Samaraña Uta Lodge! Cesar and Lucy are lovely, passionate guest and definitely one of the highlights of our stay here. We loved to spend time with them introducing us to the Uros people and Titicaca life. The Lodge is so incredibile! On a floating island in the lake, facing the most romantic side of the laguna, such a luxury room with an incredibile deck, so warm in the frozen Titicaca nights, and the best food, prepared with love and care. You cannot miss to be here when in Puno. Recommended from the bottom of our heart.

Uros Titicaca Lodge isn't just your normal hotel/lodge in scenic setting - it's an experience! We stayed for two nights, which included full board for two days and a number of activities to choose from including visiting the local community. Thanks to our host Ivan, we learned about the history of the Uros poeple, and how people have preserved their unique culture and lifestyle. The lodge itself is very comfortable - also in comparison with our homestays/lodges in the area. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the hosts take great care that guests feel warm and comfortable during the cold nights. The food was also delicious and very well prepared. I can only recommend spending a few days at this place if you are looking for a unique experience.

Located on Uros floating island, Uros Summa Paqari is situated in Puno, 7 km from Titicaca Lake. Puno Port is 5 km away. All rooms are fitted with private bathroom facilities. Gorgeous place to stay!! The room was fab, better than we expected. Everything was very clean, a lovely hot shower and plenty of blankets for the cold nights. The dinner and breakfast was nice and the family here are so welcoming and friendly.

Lovely experience for one night. We had lunch and dinner, plenty of tasty food. Just be aware to bring cash- it’s not possible to pay with card, and there are also some extra fees- like transfer from the city, or entrance to Titicaca lake

Персонал решает все проблемы и вопросы очень быстро, всегда на связи. Надо понимать, что это эко-отель и электричество здесь только на освещение и зарядку телефона. Интернета нет. Ночью холодно, обогревателей нет, но есть 5! одеял в кровати, кровать огромная и перед сном приносят грелки. Есть горячий душ. Вид на закат шикарный. Нас отвезли в 4 утра на берег, по нашей просьбе, ибо была проблема с автобусным сообщением и надо было рано оказаться на автобусном вокзале
