Excellent host with much to say about Oakhurst, Yosemite, California, and more if you want to chat, yet very conscious of your privacy and never insists or intrudes whatsoever - excellent communication via booking.com's messaging facility. A beautiful house on above a gently flowing river, a short drive from Oakhurst, a town not far from Yosemite National Park (about an hour by car to the Valley). A generous room with the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in, an excellent, well-equipped bathroom, and all in total silence. Really nice view over the river (if the room is available) - it rained/snowed heavily while we were there, and were delighted to enjoy the peace of this room during it.

Very private but with quick access to Mariposa, and convenient acess to Yosemite (it's a drive but there are very very few closer options). Great night sky view from the back porch. Good price for such a lovely place.

After a day at Yosemite we stayed at the house for a day, rested, went to the lake and went out for dinner at the Grill, beautiful setting as well, food pricy for what it was, but a nice place with great views.

We had a fantastic time at this property. We were a family of 3 (parents with a 5-year-old), and this place was perfect for us. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The cabin: - was very spacious and comfortable - fully equipped kitchen - linen and towels to host a large group of people - unbeatable views all around - snacks graciously provided by the hosts - a detailed welcome book with great suggestions about things to do - very fast Wi-Fi In addition it was very easy to communicate with the host and the immediately answered every question we had.
