The room was excepcional, every details you can think of and super modern. The bed was amazing and I loved that the have placed a really good TV at the perfect spot to watch it while you are lying on the bed.
Breakfast was surprisingly outstanding, so good.
Location was perfect too. 5/10min walking from the center.
Enjoy the sea air from your private balcony in this hotel, make the most of the sunshine by the outdoor pool –you are just a short stroll to the beach.

Location is stunning on a clifftop with private access to the public beach. Our room had a garden view which was OK.
Breakfast was good but not outstanding as hot food choices were restricted and not replenished very quickly. At least we could sit outside at a table with our pet dog unlike many so-called pet friendly hotels.
The swimming pool was drained and was in the process of being re=tiled, we did not know this in advance.

FAQs about hotels in Nerja

With whitewashed houses perched on rocky cliffs backed by the Sierra de Burno mountains, Nerja certainly has a picturesque setting. Other than from a boat, the best place to admire it is the so-called Balcony of Europe, a viewing platform overlooking the rugged coastline and turquoise waters.
Below the platform is a panoramic restaurant, and there are more restaurants and shops in the narrow town centre streets, as you would expect of a Costa del Sol resort. However, Nerja’s distinct character differentiates it from the high-rise resorts. Its relaxed feel and Blue Flag beaches attract families, and there are good diving spots off neighbouring Maro.
The town is spread over hills, and below one just outside town the Nerja Caves stretch for over 5 km. Concerts are held in one cavernous chamber.
A 19th-century, multi-level aqueduct spans a gorge to the east, while to the west the Rio Chillar cuts through rocks to form a waterfall. The nearby donkey sanctuary also houses the occasional other farmyard animal. Dating back to the 17th century is the Hermitage of Las Angustias, and El Salvador Church is on a square looking out to sea.
Booking.com’s Nerja accommodation includes luxury beach hotels, guest houses with pools, and cheap apartments with parking – particularly handy if you arrive by car from Málaga Airport.
Loved it. Full of history and culture and the main town was buzzing. Local beaches with small coves were stunningly beautiful with backdrop of the mountains. There’s a lot to see and explore - cuisine excellent

very beautiful place more than I expected,
food and drink are cheap, we were spoiled for choice, streets are spotless clean, people are very friendly we only stayed for 4days,
I didn't think there was much for kids, unless you want to travel outside the town, I would say it would be more suited to couples or mature people,

The views from the Balcon de Nerja were lovely, and the town, though obviously now very much a tourist spot, has an interesting history which you can discover by visiting the excellent local museum. Although I didn't explore them, the beaches looked very inviting. But the visit to the Cuevas de Nerja was the highlight of my stay - they are breathtaking! I have visited a number of caves, but Nerja's are like a cathedral compared to a parish church, and the prehistoric finds discovered there can be seen in the museum (the ticket for the "train" to the caves is not cheap, but includes entry to the museum, though I had to ask for a retired person's discount (2 euros) even though I have white hair.)

Nerja for us is a great stop after touring some of the larger cities and spending lots of time visiting historical and cultural sights. Nerja is meant for relaxing, hitting the beach, and eating a variety of food. Compared to other "resort" type towns along the coast, parts of the town retain a local feel, with a tourist district near the shore. Visitors are pretty diverse, but tend to skew middle age to older, no real party or club scene in Nerja, which is great for some, not for others. Usual array of restaurants, from traditional Spanish meat and seafood places, to pretty top rate Italian places, and reputable Indian/South Asian places, and a variety of others.

Beautiful town with all the restaurants, cafes and bar’s you could need. Good transport links which allows access to other areas of interest. Frigilliana was a 20 minute bus trip away, which only cost €1.20 each way, which I would highly recommend.

Nerja was a good place to start our stay in Costa del Sol.
Nerja was a good place to start our stay in Costa del Sol. We visited the old city and it was very nice. The highlights of the stay were the Nerja caves and a trip to Frigiliana. Use the public parkings as street parking is very limited.
Good communication prior to arrival, upon arrival the lady explained everything very clearly and because of the parking this was quite complicated. The room was small but very clean and UK TV which was a huge bonus.
Breaffast at The Mena Cafe was also really good, pleasant & efficient staff who were clearly very busy but again all options very clear, simple and the breakfast itself including the coffee was excellent.
Great location, the hotel is very close to centre, a simple 2 minute walk to Balcone de Europe.
A family wedding trip, with family coming from a number of different countries. The house was perfect, typical Spanish , in the old town with beautiful little streets and great restaurants very closeby. A short walk to bus stops, beaches and busy central Nerja for the night life.. It had everything we needed in the house to make our stay home from home. Lovely terraces to sit out and relax and chat after exploring.. The hosts were quick to come back on any queries we had and gave plenty of information on arrival.
Good location within easy walking distance of the town centre. Bright modern style rooms and spotlessly clean. TV had UK programmes available in addition to local Spanish stations. Very pleasant bar a restaurant on the ground floor with comfortable seated area around the outdoor swimming pool. Whole hotel beautifully maintained. Would strongly recommend this fine hostal and will certainly return on my next visit to Nerja.
The hotel is located centrally in Nerja with excellent access to the town centre and beaches. The hotel is exceptionally clean and whilst relatively old is well maintained and in good condition. The breakfast menu was amazing value for money with full English and continental selections available. The front of house team spike perfect English and we’re extremely polite and helpful as were all of the staff that we encountered.
The hotel is spotless, the staff are great and very good quality and choice at breakfast. We personally love the beach, so we didn’t really use the pool area but it looks very nice.
It’s a nice 10 min stroll into the centre, we’re all the tapas bars are located. We highly recommend Villa Flamenca for your stay in Nerja and will return at some point in the future.
A great hotel in the centre of Nerja and 2mins walk from the Balcon de Europa. The hotel is beautifully clean and well cared for. Staff are helpful and efficient. The roof terrace is uniquely divided into discreet sections and smaller terraces making it feel more intimate in character. Great breakfasts also
Highly recommended.
We loved this stylish new hotel near the centre of Nerja. It was very clean and modern and within easy reach of shops, bars & restaurants. The balcony was large and sunny in the morning with views over the town. The bed and bedding were super comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel.
The location is excellent as are the sea views, the hotel has a decent swimming pool and is exceptionaly clean, the gardens are kept in excellent condition.
It is the best hotel in Nerja in our opinion having stayed in most of the others.
Llocation was excellent. I find this area the best to stay in Nerja. halfway between the old town area and Burriana Beach. Apartment was basic but it was clean and had everything we needed. plus the showers were roasting which was great.
Great location; you can walk into the centre of Nerja in under 5 mins. staff excellent and very attentive, especially the bar man who worked some hours doing breakfast too. Hotel really clean, room spacious. nice balcony.
The owner Manolo was very welcoming and took the time to recommend lots of spots for us to check out. It was 5-10 minutes away from all of the pretty beaches and restaurants. Nerja is amazing, would love to come back.
The hotel is in a great location. 10 minute walk to the centre of Nerja and right on a lovely beach.
The rooftop pool is lovely although freezing cold.
Our room was spacious and had a lovely balcony with furniture.
The hotel is in the most stunning location, definitely the best location in Nerja.
The hotels best asset by far are the amazing staff. All of them went out of their way to be helpful & super friendly.
The apartment had the most beautiful sea views... absolutely stunning. Have stayed in Nerja before and will be back, will definitely stay at this apartment again.
