Location was superb. The rooms well appointed but complimentary water would have been appreciated.

Hard to comment as this is not a usual hotel experience! It's a trip back in time to the late 1800s - like staying in a castle or similar! Yet you still obviously have the aircon wifi etc. Breakfast was fantastic. Free parking 100m away (yes, the car park is free) I think that particularly Americans would be blown away by staying in a place older than their country!

The hotel is a delightful surprise. The room we stayed in was beautifully designed with very modern facilities. The bed was comfortable and the touch panel for the lights a state of the art.

Genuine 16th century palatial home, still lived in by its aristocratic proprietors, with period decor almost completely untouched
Huge vintage room with incredibly high ceiling
Charming lady at the reception
This is a special place for old-house lovers, NOT for those looking for standardized equipment and decor!

A lovely place! There were few tourists so it was possible to really enjoy the sites. Attractions are very close to each other and the most important ones can be covered in a day or two. It is highly recommended to make the 15 minute trip to Baeza, which is smaller but utterly charming. My two favourites: The Sinagoga del Agua (a must) in Úbeda, and walking the surroundings of the Cathedral and the Walls in Baeza. The journey there is also beautiful, as Jaen province is delightful.

Ubeda is a beautiful little city with loads of great things to see, the walls, churches, town hall etc. and local shops/galleries. There is also a huge range of restaurants and eateries (a great ice-cream shop) the views of the surrounding area are stunning. I would recommend staying within the old town walls, a little bit more expensive but worth it for being near to everything by foot.

Doesn't have the tourism magnetism like Córdoba or Granada, but especially if you have to cross nearby, it is worth to spend a day in Ubeda, Baeza and Jaen area.
Represents a different architecture, different landscapes, a more pristine way of living, with less tourism friction

Ubeda is a beautiful city and so is its sister, Baeza.
Ubeda is a beautiful city and so is its sister, Baeza. Both must be seen. You can ask for a tour guide (different spots in the center town) or do a tour on your own but you may miss out on some important information about the historic structures, the "patrimoine" the heritage buildings. One quick point: although our guide was very savvy and knowledgeable, I found the two and a half hours of the tour a bit heavy in Ubeda: too much info and not enough time to satisfy my curiosity when visiting. On the other hand, the Baeza tour guide was also savvy and knowledgeable but he gave us time to appreciate the historic buildings. To eat in the South of Spain is like saying "where is the fridge in this house" - there are eatery places, from cafés, bars, restaurants for every liking and budget. One does not need a car to get around Ubeda. There are always things to do anywhere you look.

The whole of Ubeda is listed as World Heritage for a reason.
The whole of Ubeda is listed as World Heritage for a reason. They are also working actively to bring more sites to the fore. You can get the best selection of teas, needed in the cold days; best at Bar Las Flores, tiny with good prices. Can't list all the sites, there are too many. We did the free walking tour, in Spanish only, starting at the office in Calle Real 13 - excellent guide with very clear diction.

An incredibly interesting place to visit.
An incredibly interesting place to visit. There are historic buildings on every corner of the old town. It is a joy just to wander about looking.
As it is not easy for me to walk far it was a delight to take the tourist train, ensuring that we missed nothing. I was pleased to see many of the beautiful old buildings preserved tastefully as hotels. There were plenty of restaurants and bars around and free tapas too, as it is in Jaén
The house is in an excellent location within a short walk to all the sights of Ubeda. It is easy to drive to being on the edge of the old town. We parked our car on the road very close to the house, or within a 5 minute walk. You can unload luggage just outside the house.
The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to queries.
The house is very clean and excellent value for money. It is old and full of character but with modern appliances.
It is on 3 floors so unsuitable for anyone who finds stairs difficult.
This is a stunning property, a 16th century Palacio in the centre of Ubeda. It's a very small hotel, I think there are 8 rooms in total. The rooms are large and beautifully furnished. The woman who was in charge was charming, very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, a very good variety of fruit, breads etc and we were offered eggs. Parking is limited, the best option is the public car park a few minutes walk away, which seemed very secure.
The owner of the apartment is nice and helpful, the room has little fridge and microwave what is really helpful during summer days,at least some cold water could be always a available. Room is recently renovated thus bathroom is very stylish and confortable. Moreover i liked the location, since there was no problem with parking place nearby and all tourist attractions are within 10min of walk.I do recommend this place
Lovely small hotel, great location in the old town.We were able to park in the very quiet street outside which is free.Very clean.Very comfortable.Breakfast basic but very nice.Owner and his daughter extremely helpful and friendly.Highly recommended provided you're not after a luxury hotel in which case the nearby Parador might be better for you but at about four times the price
We liked that it was spacious, but there were stairs, although were stairs separating each room from others... similar to a split level. It was a big enough place, but very choppy layout. The location was okay, not great, because it wasn’t really near the central area ofUbeda. There were only a couple of restaurants nearby, and we did find a good one across the quake.
Exceptionally clean and spacious both bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Bed was huge. Hotel was right in the historic centre and the central atrium was beautiful. Only one small snag is that we had to park the car a 10 minute walk away. But you can't be in an old historic centre and expect easy parking, so that was ok.
Beautiful hotel, spacious room with sitting area, friendly staff, walkable to many restaurants.
I accidentally left my refrigerated medication in our room when we left. The front desk called me within 10 minutes of our departure to let me know. I am so grateful for this.
Fantastic find! Staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for you. Fabulous hotel right next to free parking in the historic qauter. Breakfast amazing, plates off fruits, cheeses & meats, even gave me gluten free bread & cakes! Would definitely stay here again.
Smart and popular hotel near the centre of Ubeda. Friendly and efficient check in, comfortable clean room and a good restaurant.
I was just passing through on a road trip and this accommodation had everything I needed
Wonderful authentic palazzo experience in this small family run hotel.
Full of charm and character
Host, Pepe very pleasant and helpful.
Parking close by
Good access to historical part of town
Excellent value
Close to old town. Free public parking close to the hotel. It is situated in an old historic building with a lovely interior court yard. Very good value for the location. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The very close distance to the chapel/center of Ubeda. The good and close offer of parking places FOC. The appartment was great and the kitchen has had a good offer of things as you need...
This is a beautiful hotel in a good central location. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the room was comfortable with a very big shower.
Charming and authentic. In the middle of genuine Espana, - tourism seems to be a word from a Russian dictonary. Ubeda and the hotel are both of a different dimension.
Excellent dinner, although the menu is a little confusing, all mixed up.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing,as opposed to previous stays at parador hotels.
Great location right in the heart of Ubeda. Really friendly and welcoming host. Beautiful decoration. Lovely house and patio. Very well equipped kitchen.
