Good value for money. Reception staff member was great, very friendly. Good underground parking for a reasonable price. Comfortable bed. Decent sized room. Bright colour scheme throughout the hotel which I liked.

This small inn is exquisite for its historic experience and modern comfort. The host was both charming and helpful (booking a taxi on short notice when taxis in the area are limited).
Of our five accommodations, this inn was our favourite on our trip through France.

Excellent location; for exploring the old city, area. Great history of the 16th century lodge, which is renovated into this lovely building.
The owner, was extremely helpful, helping me get settled; after my late arrival. Also; very accommodating when it was time to relocate, and prepare for my “Camino de Saint Jacques”.

Unless you haven't noticed there is an international pandemic occurring. One of the negative effects of this has been the closure of boarders in Europe including France. Hence I haven't stayed at this hotel!!!!!!

The medieval festival in September is spectacular.
The medieval festival in September is spectacular. It is wonderful to see 6000 people in elaborate and beautiful costumes enjoying the medieval/renaissance atmoshpere. Dancing, listening to minstrels, walking from venue to venue, interesting theater, seeing the fabrication of medieval arms (arrows, axes, knives), eating, drinking, shopping for costumes, furs, slingshots, arrows, horns, chapeaux), watching falconers - all is so enjoyable! Congratulations to everyone in the town who contributes to this fantastic community spirit!

A traditional old French town with a limited number of attractions, some requiring a climb. We made it up to the Rocher St Michel (268 steps but with strategically located benches), skipped Notre Dame de France (at least the rock has a chapel at the top and not a garish statue), and visited the cathedral. A good day's worth of tourism. Recommend Le Chamarlenc for food.

A fabulous French town with great character and charm.
A fabulous French town with great character and charm. Plenty of old market squares, fountains, shops and wonderful restaurants. My favourite area was the Plots square and the Restaurant du Plots. We stayed in the apartments above the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit for all you French fans!

Great welcome from friendly and happy receptionist/manager. I had booked the wrong date by mistake and this was changed with no fuss or penalty, which was kind as my mistake meant I had booked a room but did not turn up until a day later. No attempt was made to charge for the missed night. It was not at a busy time and the hotel was not full, so, little loss to them, but it shows a good attitude to not try to take advantage of an error.
Clean, comfortable hotel with nice treed rear patio area. Really good breakfast in pleasant dining area. Good quality decor and furnishings.
Commercial car park across the road very convenient and not too expensive.
Quick walk into old town, restaurants etc and a fun town (for oldies!) with a lot of videos/images projected on walls in evenings. Great museum/art gallery, Saturday market and lentils!
We paid for a dinner and breakfast package and it proved to be great value. The hotel seems to cater for business travelers with all evening dining tables taken by a lone person (mainly males). I thought there would be some restriction on our dinner package but it proved to be the same as available for everyone else. Very pleased with our stay.
Exactly as you would expect from a major chain hotel. Fairly modern, handy location, easy walk into the city centre and close to attractions. Good sized clean room. Chargable private car park although the reception team accommodated my motorcycle in the garage without charge which was really appreciated. I would be happy to stay again.
Best location to explore Le Puy and for pilgrims on Chemin Le Puy, Pierre is the best host and made a point to visit us during breakfast to share his life, and finally the best accommodations with remodeled suite. Incredible art throughout the entire hotel!
The apartment is very nicely laid out, with large windows in the main room with nice views and lighting. Very clean. It's a nice space to relax in. Good location, only a few blocks from all the attractions in Le Puy-en-Velay.
This property feels like home away from home. You absolutely will not find a better or more central location. Here, you will have a comfortable and relaxing stay without being confined to a shoe box hotel room.
The hotel was reasonably easy to find and there were restaurants nearby. Cheerful decor and very pleasant staff, who were very friendly and helpful.
Room was well laid out and spacious. I enjoyed my stay.
This was my second stay at this property. It is well situated on a quiet pedestrian lane in the heart of Le Puy. There is plenty of room and the kitchen is well equipped. It's clean and comfortable.
Location is right on the Camino. The bed was the most comfy we have had so far. Food options exist in the hotel and next door, and grocery across the street. Plenty of hot water (I even took a bath).
it’s a room in a man’s apartment. the room is perfectly useable, but I did not understand whet I was booking given my lack of French. for that price I don’t want to be sharing some guys apartment.
it’s very clean, comfortable and the staff is super friendly. This is our second time in this hotel and we just love it. the breakfast is good value for the price and very tasty.
The hotel was alright with a good location, but the attendant kept making noise outside our room and demanding we go eat breakfast. The hotel didn’t charge us for breakfast.
An older independent hotel in a fantastic location. The bed was very comfortable. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.
