Great location for an early flight from Gatwick. Plenty of parking, a good menu, reasonably well-stocked bar, and the room was ok.

The Old House Inn, hotel in Burstow

Situated just 10 minutes’ drive from London Gatwick Airport, The Old House Inn features free on-site parking and a mature garden.

We stayed during the London to Brighton ultra challenge, the staff were accommodating as we arrived late and very tired. They were so helpful and gave us our breakfast as a pack lunch as we were setting off on the challenge at 5am the next morning. We enjoyed our stay despite the exhaustion and appreciated the staff member on site who showed us to our rooms and arranged our breakfast, we didn’t catch his name but he was very helpful and super friendly.

Oak Tree Lodge & Holiday Parking, hotel in Burstow

Located less than 10 minutes from Gatwick, Oak Tree Lodge and Holiday Parking offers en-suite rooms along with safe on-site holiday parking and transfers.

We were really impressed with Oak Tree Lodge. For us it was pre airport stop to avoid a very early start. Pricing was very much in line with other big airport hotels which are often very basics and clinical. Oak Tree Lodge was anything but! Lots of lovely little touches, like scrabble to play in the room, sleep mist to spray on pillows, plenty of snacks available and much more. David greeted us when we arrived, who was really friendly and gave us a couple of recommendation for pub/restaurant for dinner. We also organised airport transfers with Oak Tree Lodge, we were met by an also very friendly Richard right on time, and delivered to our terminal within approx 15 mins. Our stay at Oak Tree Lodge was really wonderful, and completely removed the stress of an early airport run. We will no doubt be back, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Burstow is a small village near to Gatwick Airport - close enough, but not so that one is bothered by aircraft noise. It is an ideal place for a night's stay before travelling from the airport, being about a fifteen to twenty minute drive away. There are three or four pubs / restaurants within about one mile.

The staff were friendly but the food was appalling and room was very shabby. The sheets were clean but no tea available & the coffee machine not working. Left before breakfast service and no alternative offered. Don’t go there.

    I didn't really like anything.

I didn't really like anything. I wanted a comfortable place for one overnight before leaving from nearby airport in the morning, where I could also get an evening meal. I should have stayed at the airport.

We were attending a family gathering.

We were attending a family gathering. Travel to & from the venue was straight forward & there were a number of local places to stop & visit. The food at the accommodation was so good that we continued to utilise & eat there. Plenty of other restaurants nearby though.

Considering we are in a difficult time with the coronavirus, Staff at the Curious Pig in the Parlour made us very welcome, especially our receptionist. She made our stay perfect, anything I asked for she helped us. We decided to eat our evening meal in the hotel, we had our car with us but decided not to go out in the evening. Although we had not originally booked a table for our evening meal, the staff they made sure we could get a table. We decided to eat outside in the gardens. The food was exceptional, we decided to eat there again the second night. We are definitely planning to go back.
