The castle was amazing, we could have spent longer there but wanted to fit in other sightseeing.
We were self-catering but there were lots of places to eat which seemed very attractive.
The town is not too large to get about on foot but I suspect most people would prefer the area around the castle and quays.

Castle interesting and views across to Anglesey beautiful at sunset. Walled town attractive though some of the outer parts a bit run down. Seems a lively place with a buzzing Friday evening social scene. Eating places mostly offering pub grub rather than local produce.(Ok if you like chips)

Magical, Musical, Happy, Dog Friendly and helpful place.
The cobbled streets bekan horses, the Castle stands strong, proud and has witnessed passing of time.
The Marina changes as many times as the moon rising and the sun setting, mirroring the life of the Castle.
Musicians bloom like flowers. Laughter and cheer brings people together here.

Finding somewhere good to eat was difficult, everything thing was closed, it was like a ghost town. Weatherspoons food was horrendous as was the Black Boy Inn, cheap food for an expensive price, wouldnt venture there in a hurry.

Most of the city is around the castle and is very quiet at night. However, in addition to receiving poor service from the property we stayed at, I also found that it was difficult to book restaurants in advance with several websites not working or containing the wrong information, having to make several phone calls to make a booking and bookings made via web sites were not responded to.
Caernarfon and its castle are beautiful, but their use of technology me think that they are still living in the dark ages.
The welcome, the decor (fabulous!), the ambience - and the breakfast was superb. There’s plenty of parking and of all the hotels we stayed in, definitely the most comfortable bed. It’s a place you’d stay in for a while (to make the most of the beautiful reception rooms). We walked down into Caernarfon and although it looks daunting with the road fairly close by, you can turn off left on the way and take the scenic route to the castle.
Very clean, modern and spacious new cottage
Superbly equipped with loads of crockery, cooking utensils etc. Fabulous storage in all bedrooms and kitchen, and very comfortable beds
Very lovely quiet rural location and yet well located to explore North Wales and Snowdonia National park
Many lovely walks available within a 20 min drive, and Caernarfon castle and the nearby beach are even closer at 10-15 mins
The location is good for Anglesey and Caernarfon and the main route for North Wales towns Llandudno etc is close by. The house was amazing. The attention to detail is incredible. So welcoming and comfortable. I have had the privilege of staying all over the world. This is by far the best accommodation I have stayed in. Absolutely a 10/10
Your accommodation was both comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent each day. And the team were all friendly and helpful.
We found your guest house perfectly situated for our holiday exploring North Wales. And it was just a short walk to the many pubs and restaurants in Caernarfon for an evening meal.
This 500 year hotel is full of character and perfectly located near to the castle. The staff were extremely efficient and cheerful. The large Welsh breakfast just set you up for the day and the food generally was excellent and good value for money. Add very decent selection of beers and what's to like
Excellent location, amazing indoor swimming pool, spacious family room, separate bar (indoor pub) and restaurant. Good selections for breakfast. Car parking dotted around the hotel with lots of space. Overall highly recommend hotel for visit to Snowdonia and surrounding areas.
The location is fantastic. Located right next to the castle and only a few yards from multiple restaurants and pubs. There is no parking at the hotel; however, there is a large public carpark directly behind the hotel that only charges £6.00+ for 24htr parking. What a deal!
Lovely, immaculate room, great breakfast, perfect location. Caer Menai is an excellent place to stay, we were there for four days on a wee holiday exploring caernarfon and wider North Wales. Covid measures were very well done by the owner staff. Thanks for a lovely stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. There was lots of space. Had a well equipped kitchen. Great water pressure on the 2nd floor shower. The breakfast basket was amazing!! Board games were a nice touch. So close to the castle. Really nice to have 2 bathrooms
The hosting, the vibe, the quaintness. Just a perfect place to stay in North Wales. It’s a hostel so there is sharing, but never once felt like my needs weren’t met. One of my favorite stays going across the UK.
Nice view of the castle and the waterfront. Not far from shops, bus and railroad stations.
Great breakfasts both day. Had a second floor view of the bay.
Also had nice dinner here outdoors on one evening
The location of the caravan is very convenient to go and see North Wales. Everything what we needed was provided. We spent a lovely time there and holiday park is definitely worth to be recommended.
The location of the hotel is perfect, inside the walls of the old city & short stroll to Caernarfon Castle. Our room was extremely spacious. Loved the local touch of Welsh wool throw & pillows.
The proprietor was very helpful and accommodating when a booking error meant only one of our two rooms was available. The location was extremely convenient to the castle and the old town.
The food and staff were great very helpful. The rooms were clean, the reception staff were very helpful. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel wasn't too noisy just peaceful.
