We needed a cheap comfortable room for one night. The hotel had no other facilities available at the time, but this was not a problem for us.

Wonderful location. Beautifully restored listed buulding. Fantastic staff and exceptional food. Real attention to detail which is very unusual. Very well appointed room. Lovely bed linen, mattress etc. Fantastic cleanliness and general housekeeping.
We stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary. The stay was great start to finish, very clean hotel and great breakfast. Staff was great, we requested for some water in middle of the night around 3am and a member of staff brought us full jug of water up to our room within 1 minute, highly recommend. Good spa facilities included room booking.

We stayed at Vale View Barn for 2 nights as we were going into Grantham for the Pork Pie Making Experience. We spent the day in Grantham, had lunch at Wetherspoons and walked along the river and around the park before going to the Pie Making Experience. A very pleasant day. Vale View Barn is excellent, beautifully furnished with everything you need and the owners are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately first thing in the morning the swimming pool was full of unsupervised shouting splashing children.
Not my idea of a spa retreat I'm afraid...
Pre booked or reserved children free times would have helped...

Our visit was mainly visiting family in Corby Glenn, so our experience of Grantham was just to visit to find a restaurant (one evening). Delighted to find a good Turkish restaurant; found parking nearby, so our (limited) trip to Grantham was great!

The location was very nice.
The location was very nice.
Tables were cleared but not cleaned.
No cocktail menu. No dry martini. Limited larger choice one after a short while.
Gin and tonic served in a cracked glass.
Not what you would expect from the details given of the hotel.
Evening menu not great waited nearly a hour for our meals.
However a lovely breakfast.
Disappointed with what should have been a special treat.
The hotel is currently room only service due to just reopening. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Bed comfortable and pleasant decor. Amazing power shower, plenty of towels. Kettle with tea and coffee in the room and an ironing board in room which is handy. Plenty of storage. Large TV. Always a staff member on the desk who were all lovely and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome including our dog who came with us.
Beautiful historic building and grounds. Staff were very friendly and helpful, making me feel really welcome, especially as I was travelling on my own.
Had an excellent meal in the evening and a very comfortable night’s sleep.
I was travelling with my dog who was also made very welcome and welcome in most areas of the hotel.
I will definitely be back.
despite us staying during a breakdown of the heating the temporary heaters worked fine and we had a very comfortable stay. We had the standard breakfast that was really nice, the coffee was good, all in all a great place to stay if you are passing Grantham. The hosts are very attentive to your comfort.
Good location within walking distance of town centre. Room was clean and quiet. There is public parking right outside the hotel and we had no problems getting a space.
Staff were friendly and helpful once at the hotel. They provided a vegan option for breakfast which was appreciated.
Amaya Five is a walkable distance to the town centre. The property is very clean and very comfortable. It had a well equipped kitchen for cooking and laundry. The shower had plenty of hot water and had a good pressure. I would stay here again. Thank you Lloyd for checking in.
The hotel is easy to find, has a good car park and is very clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is obviously not a 5 star establishment but does exactly what is says, and is 200 m from the center of Grantham. Would use it again with no hesitation.
I thought the elderly gentleman and his family that ran the hotel together with his family was very generous and helpful in making my stay as comfortable as possible, I loved the history of the places and it was a pity I was only there for one week
It was more Hotel than just somewhere to stay. No modern shampoo and soap dispensers but bottles and little tablet of soap. Was only overnight so didn't use all facilities available but had a nice meal and slept well. Shower was good and powerful.
This is a wonderful place to stay. An idyllic rural hideaway - confirmed by it being the locals' 'local'! Everyone made you feel that they wanted you to be there - and nothing was too much trouble. A true 'English pub' that you hope to visit.
I hadn’t meant to stay here but got stranded due to issues on the train line. A wonderful hotel, amazingly comfy beds, love the decor, breakfast was super. Wish I could have stayed longer or been prepared to be able use the facilities.
We needed an overnight stop, it was just off the A1 and I didn't want to stay in one of the "chains" - The Gregory was cheaper and much better IMO, service was friendly food was great and in all just what was needed
Location for the town was Excellent. Hotel is Beautiful. The customer service on arrival was good. Checking in was easy.. I highly recommend this Hotel. Definitely book to stay again.
Nice accommodation in a listed building in the centre of Grantham. Rooms were fine, with comfy beds. Nice bathroom.
The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Lots of lovely little touches made our stay feel like a luxury boutique hotel rather than a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was top quality too with plenty of choice!
The cottage was really comfortable and gave us space to relax. We had spent a few days in small hotel rooms so having a sofa was great. The bed was really comfy.
I love that the hotel is pet friendly. The staff were welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, and the facilities like the pool and tennis courts were clean.
