Service beyond expectation, I asked when I checked in at reception if they had avocado at breakfast and was told unfortunately not...but to my surprise the lady in reception bought 2 especially for me.
Breakfast is normally served at 08:00 and they opened the kitchen early at 07:00 just for me.
Incredible service

We did not have breakfast as we are not really breakfast eaters. The location was in an excellent spot - only a 10 minute walk from the beach and amusements and restaurants etc.

The property was really awesome. It’s so spacious and I really like the arcade machine game consoles that were there. We really enjoyed it. Another things is the sunset view that we’ve witness in the master’s bedroom. And of course, the jacuzzi *chef’s kiss* perfect!!! We would definitely come back!!

Was nice to reminisce over a previous stay years ago.
Was nice to reminisce over a previous stay years ago.
Margate like many other coastal towns suffers from a lack of investment and some of the oldest and most interesting properties are closed and boarded up.

Haven't visited Margete in over 20 years and was pleasantly surprised. The beach was lovely and sandy, with an actual sauna on the beach and some activities for kids, was nice to watch the yachts sailing around the little harbour, plenty of amusement arcades Nice little market in the old town, mainly craft/clothing items. Plenty of good places to eat/drink. Pete's fish and chips was lovely. Also ate at The Sundowners (LGBT) bar (which has a terrace overlooking the sea) and food was lovely there too! Margate is bustling with life and great for a day out or longer if you fancy!!

Didn’t like Margate as much as Ramsgate not many pubs there, the only decent place is the mechanical elephant other places were expensive bars which were not my scene no karaoke venues like Ramsgate, just like Guildford the rodboro buildings in the centre and very few pubs in a big town which are all spread out of the town instead of being in the centre, it’s one of those towns with more tea places and diners and less pubs in the towns, can’t beat my number one town Reading in Friar street.

Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays.
Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays. I visited the Turner gallery, shell grotto, crab museum. I didn't have time to see the caves. Great sunsets. Loads of places to eat. I would highly recommend the Bull's Head for Sunday lunch. Best roasties ever! The Olimpia Bakery does coffee and amazing cakes.

I loved the fact that Seaview was in the old town of Margate, directly opposite Turner Contemporary and beautiful beach. Useful information folder, recommending everything from places to eat drink, visit etc. Loads of free street parking, regular buses to surrounding areas. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, be that in restaurants, shops or the bus drivers. A wonderful experience!
It is what it is. Years ago this would have been a bustling classy hotel. It now has a worn-out, post-apocalyptic feel. As a hotel it merely survives. That is not the fault of the hotel at all. Its fate and seeming downward trajectory has been linked to that of Margate itself. I booked a room with bathroom, no more as nothing else is provided. But...the staff were real nice and it gives genuine value for money. I paid £40 and was treated very fairly. I have no complaints and would stay there again.
Hotel has only recently opened, the staff were friendly and we were upgraded to a suite. The room was clean and spacious, with really nice decor, including Margot in Margate prints which was a nice touch. Everything was clean, the bed was really comfortable with 3 pillows each. The shower was hot and powerful and towels were decent size and quality. Toiletries were big bottles from a local company, so much better for the environment.
The location of the property is ideal for the Lido Sands, walking distance to both Margate and Cliftonville. The property is very spacious, bathroom was very roomy. Beds comfortable. Liked the secure access which was ideal for our stay. The area surrounding is residential which adds to the character of the property. Be mindful that there are stairs to access the property, which we didn't mind as the set up inside made it very homely.
Thé hotel is a 15 minute walk along the beach/boardwalk from thé center of Margate. Tracy & her staff were charming, having decorated her whole guest house for Halloween. My sons were particularly taken with a great fish tank of shiny, tropical fish & a talking status named Manuel. I was take with the peacock-themed room facing the sea that she upgraded us to, free of charge!
The room we stayed in was very spacious and quirky and all the facilities were so clean we honestly loved the tea and coffee selection too. The bed was extremely comfortable with a great working tv. Was a great distance from margate town center and other beaches.Paul was so friendly and accommodating and made us feel like we were right at home we will definitely stay again!!
Excellent apartment with the best view!
Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need including some lovely toiletry packs in the bathroom.
Couldn’t ask for a better location in margate, right across from the beach.
Helpful communications before and throughout the trip.
Fabulous stay - would most definitely return!
Wonderfully welcoming and helpful hosts Kim and Teresa, great breakfast, clean and tidy room and bathroom facilities, and also very quiet. Location can't be beaten if you're using Margate station as it's a minute away. A traditional seaside hotel of the type that is sadly disappearing in favour of anonymous chains.
Fabulous ground floor. Like stepping back in time. Staff were brilliant. Breakfast really really good. Met some lovely people whilst sat out on verandah watching sea views. The Otis lift was fantastic. The whole ambiance of the Walpole Bay Hotel was unbelievable
A wonderful host! Great flat and being right ontop of Walpole bay for a quick dip was amazing! Let alone the convenient stroll along the front to central Margate.
Bumping into a Beach boy at the bar just topped it off.
Location was great with a sea views. Ideal walking distance to the Centre of Margate. The two en-suites were a real plus. The kitchen was nicely equipped and very clean as appeared to be recently refurbished.
Lovely hotel, beautifully modernised and furnished. Good sized, comfortable room with excellent en-suite. Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Excellent bar and restaurant on site. Great location.
Nice, clean big room with great sea view.
Hotel is very well kept and all clean and fresh.
Superb location and easy walking to wherever in Margate you want to go.
Staff are very nice and helpful.
The Hotel is well located for Margate centre and the sea is a 10 minute walk away. The room is comfortable and a good sized bathroom. The bed was excellent.
