First of all the staff were very helpful and the hotel itself was a good standard (could do with updating). however on Saturday evening we decided to have some food and that's were it all went downhill. I ordered the cheese stack burger and my partner ordered the fish goujons. the food came to our table very very quickly and the fish was still really cold. they apologised snd changed it straight away. I ate the burger which was very greasy but luckily my partner didn't eat the fish as it had a funny taste to it(we didn't complain as its not something we do). Once back in our room I started to get stomach cramps and vomited 3 times throughout the night and also got no sleep. I even had to miss breakfast the following morning which I had paid for in advance .
I would still recommend the hotel to stay in but definitely not the bar food

I really liked Swindon. I traveled by train. Train was on time, it was clean, kept informed of where we were, easy to get tickets, all simple no probs. If you wanted to travel by bus it’s a stone throw away from the train station. A short walk to the city centre. Plenty of shops to spend your money in. Plenty of place to eat. I sat in cafe and had a jacket potato and a tea £10 bargin! All good. Would definitely return.

We didn't have time to explore very much on a one night trip, but we were impressed with the cycle infrastructure and the variety of restaurants and pubs, though some areas of the town were a little run down and shady.
The bigWe rode through Lydiard park and were very impressed with it as a nice destination. Seemed like a lovely place to go with friends and family for a picnic and a walk or to jog or cycle around.

I used to live in Swindon and there are parts to avoid, ann the bottom of town isn't what it used to be, but for a great night out, there is Old Town. For country walks there is Lydiard Park and Coate Water. The surrounding villages and towns and close to the Cotswolds, Swindon is great for a central point

MacArthur Glenn outlet was good. Homesense too
Swindon has too many terrible drivers, who drive too fast & too close. There need to be traffic calming measures & more traffic lights.
Terrible, inconsiderate drivers can't be trusted to obey rules & use roundabouts properly.

The ambiance and excellent food exceeded our expectations.
The ambiance and excellent food exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and fully equipped. The only negative was the bed was slightly smaller than a double which was a shame as a king size would have easily fitted.
I’ve been working a few weekends nearby and find rooms do become available at the last minute which is handy. I’ve always had a comfortable stay here, usually for a few hours overnight. Due to this, I don’t usually get a chance to explore the property or sample the menu. Reviews are quite mixed regarding the food fare so may eventually try it if back in the vicinity. This hotel has always provided a relatively pleasant stay.
This bijoux house (one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room over two floors) is located conveniently close to both the modern city centre and the old town. The kitchen has all the equipment needed and the property is, indeed, cozy and comfortable. In winter, it was warm. In spring, I was able to sit outside on the back stairs (although the view is industrial rather than picturesque).
Everything was perfect . Also all the time when we go for holidays we always stay in holiday inn express but none of the staff told us about the membership but this time with holiday inn Swindon city centre the receptionist mrs Tracey was very helpful and told us about the membership policy and it is because of her I have joined the membership . A mighty thanks to her .
Room size was good. Bathroom was a good size too. Location to the city centre. Keys are in a keysafe so you can come and go from the property. There are a lot of kitchen gadgets to use. It was a quiet location despite it being a HMO of possibly 5 rooms. Was able to check in earlier. Co-op next door. Bed was comfy enough, just needs moving from its current position.
The hotel/conference centre is attached to the Manor House with a large park. The whole site makes a very positive impression. The Manor is very well restored. Hotel is probably recently refurbished. The price is very moderate. Restaurant is not expensive and good enough. Staff is friendly and helpful.
I can it truly recommend for the stay around Swindon.
The restaurant quality was far above what we expected. The location is excellent. Although we did not do much in Swindon itself, the town is centrally located for many easy excursions to top sites such as Bath, Oxford, Stonehenge, Blenheim Palace and the Cotswold towns.
This was my fourth stay as it’s currently the cheapest hotel in Swindon with good parking (no good if you’re not travelling by car as it’s a way out of town). The room was fine and had all the usual facilities. Staff were pleasant, check in was easy and quick.
The location of the house is fantastic, in walking proximity to town centre, old town and town gardens. The bedroom furniture, beds, linen, towels, living area, kitchen & kitchen appliances were clean. Smart tv and wifi were in good working condition.
Staff were very friendly on arrival and accommodated my request to be on top floor. Evening meal worked out cheaper in the hotel than the nearby beefeater, breakfast had lots of fresh choices
Inside the hotel was very clean. Breakfast was lovely. Melanie in the restaurant was wonderful with our kids and very welcoming. Room was lovely and clean, housekeeping staff were very nice.
Very clean well furnished flat right in the middle of Swindon town centre.
Easy to locate key box but there was a delay in being sent the instructions.
Overall very good.
We were very impressed with our clean and spacious room..........I particularly liked the privacy of our small terrace
We did not eat food at the hotel
