The room was fine, and spacious. The staff were also great, and very attentive. Breakfast was also hot, even though it was 30 minutes before closing when I went in. At that point, it was still well stocked and there was plenty available.

The Commodore hotel was exceptional in every way. The locality, it's location and views were stunning over the bay of Cobh. The hotel oozes victorian charm and has been decorated to a really high specification.
The staff in reception were very welcoming, the cleaners were excellent in their duties, everywhere was spotlessly clean, fresh and smelt beautiful.
Our room " the Westbourne suite" was just amazing, it was huge, with a seperate reading room complete with desk, chair and telephone. The dressing gowns, and slippers were sumptuous and they fitted. The toiletries were gorgeous, huge towels and a great selection of refreshments including tea, coffee water, chocolate etc and an expresso coffee machine all were provided daily. The additional exculsive facilities beyond our suite were an added bonus. All of the above enhanced our stay to the most luxurious of standards. The secure onsite parking was also really convenient.

Mary, the owner, met us at the door with a huge smile and her two Scottish Terriers (Scotty Dogs) named Freddie and Winnie. They let us tickle them behind their ears ( but not Mary although if we asked nicely she may have allowed us!). The accommodation was Georgian decorated to a very high standard. We stayed in the self-contained garden house with cooking facilities for at home catering. The toilet and shower were excellent with plenty of space. The decor of the room was well thought through. The bed was so comfortable that it was a shame to get out of it in the morning. The nearby cathedral replaced the need for a watch with its frequent, soothing chimes. Each morning we were greeted with croissants and jam from Mary with Freddie the dog being an alert hoover for an
dropped crumbs. Mary was a font of information about the locality which was so useful when we planned our days. Nearby was the train station that took us to Cork and other attractions. The food in Cobh (pronounced “Cove) was delicious and plentiful and was great vfm.

Fantastic location, loved everything, great facilities
Outstanding host, outstanding breakfast, outstanding views! Room had great view, was clean and comfortable. We hated to leave. Conin's had THE best fish n chips and delicious tarter sauce. Close to Kinsale but far less hectic.
