If you want to visit here during the off-season like we did,...
If you want to visit here during the off-season like we did, understand that most of the restaurants close after lunch during this time of year. We came in mid-January. Obviously, it will be too cold to enjoy swimming in the beach. But walking around the historic centre was very nice. It was nice that there were so few people in the town during our time there. I would recommend it, if you are into that sort of thing. It was a great chance to take some nice pictures and videos without a lot of people, and/or crowds. There was only one restaurant open for dinner, that our Hotel recommended to us. We tried to find other options, but there were none. Also, the Villa of Tiberius is closed on Monday and Tuesdays.BrekedekItaly - 10Scored 10

We were looking for a beach stay not far from Rome. Sperlonga is 2 hours south of Rome. I highly recommend this beautiful beach community. It’s quiet, with a lovely street of shops and restaurants. But it’s all about relaxing on the beach.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

If you like to travel and immerse yourself in the culture of a country, Villa Epi is the place to stay. Marco, the host speaks English, the vacationers are local people from surrounding areas in Italy. We ate a local restaurants. Getting around Sperlonga was challenging because Villa Epi is on the outskirts of the town, however Marco is at your service. The beautiful golden beaches and crystalline waters. The House of Emperor Tiberio and related cave by the sea. Fantastic food with fresh fish, wonderful tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. The wonderful locations around.

Sperlonga is such a gem, filled with nice restaurants, cafes and small shops during summer season. Lovely boat excursions and interesting history with excavation of Tiberius villa. Plenty of beach options nearby, also if you would like more secluded places. Renting a boat must be ideal to reach these places. Not so easy to move around to nearby villages without a car or taxi. Bus routes not so developed.

The village of Sperlonga is beautiful, so many gorgeous little walk ways and paths to explore. The restaurants were amazing, with really good seafood. The beach was lovely, it was too cold to sit on, but to walk along and collect shells with my daughter was lovely. It was beautiful and would recommend.LauraUnited Kingdom

It was evident that he genuinely cared about ensuring that our stay in his beach house was enjoyable. The apartment itself is situated right on the beach and comes with the added perk of two complimentary umbrellas at a nearby beach club. This club also offers refreshing drinks and delicious lunches. The large terrace provides a breathtaking view of the sea. Although the walk to the center of Sperlonga is a bit lengthy, it is pleasant and well worth it.

Considering Sperlonga being so nice, you'll spend more time outside anyway. This place is for sleeping and for that it is great. The main bed being reachable via relatively steep stairs. Therefore you may avoid if you have backpain. There is a parking right in front of the place, which is of great value in Sperlonga, mainly during the season. Small shops' restaurants, pharmacy and beach very close by. Few minutes walk from stunning Sperlonga old town.

With public transport it's possible to get there, but be sure to check the exact timetables. The hosts were very friendly people, who even picked us up from the station as we missed our bus. The communication was easy and quick. We had access to two bikes so it was easy getting around town. Sperlonga has a very interesting and beatiful city center.
