The owner is an artist so it's a beautifully decorated house...
The owner is an artist so it's a beautifully decorated house. And at $50 in high season for a room with a balcony what an amazing value. Including a simple breakfast which was just fine. It's not in the city center but it's only one block from a bus that goes directly to the city center and comes every few minutes.JordanUnited States - 8.0Scored 8.0

We liked the fact that Paola is a quiet and friendly neighbourhood, away from the main tourist traps. There are excellent bus connections to all over the island. On the downside, Paola has a limited selection of restaurants that are open in the evening.

When you first look you might think that Paola is a bit off...
When you first look you might think that Paola is a bit off the beaten track for tourists, but do not be fooled. Paola is a lovely city in its own right, and not being touristy is remarkably cheap. Then of course there is the amazing Maltese buses. 20 minutes and you are in Valletta, or 20 mins in the other direction you are in Birzebugga, a great seaside town with a lovely beach.DaveUnited Kingdom
