A place with potential, however the position with two shabby and dirty buildings in front of the nice sea view isn’t great. Rooms are ok however needs to be maintained as the joints in the bathrooms are dirty. Didn’t like the two levels with stairs in the room, TV is outdated and the beds too hard. Too much noise from the rooftop bar and very loud music at night. The best asset are the staff, chef and service staff very nice and helpful.
Offering an outdoor pool and a garden restaurant with bar, Guest House et Restaurant Sous le Badamier is located in Pointe Aux Canonniers. Moint Choisy Beach is a 5-minute drive away.

Overall a good hotel but there are some key features they need to improve on.
1, The price on some items are way out there like their taxi booking, booking.com offer 25 euro and from them its 60 euro. we can understand maybe 20-30% topup but not 120%. its not about the amount but as matter of principal. also their private fishing tour cost 28000 their own money which around 2200 dirham or 600 dollars. the reason as per them is the fuel cost and i we understand the fuel cost is a bit high but it felt a bit to high for some hours of fishing. on the other hand they did have a 30min free shallow fishing for small fishes.
2, The Beds and sheets where an absolute disaster, for a hotel on this caliber we could not understand how they have not managed to buy some proper bed mattress and sheets, it was almost impossible to sleep, the bed mattress had totally lost its shape and were bend in the middle so we woke up multiple tiles during night and the sheets were of the cheapest quality and where making sound when we moved around.
3, the Pool was one of the best pools i have seen in any hotel, seating around the pool with bed in the water.
4, the personal were really nice and polite.
5, the hotel location is good and relaxing
6, they had some free water actives like snorkeling, shallow fishing, kayaking, etc
Overall a good hotel but have space to improve.

Grand Baie is a fabulous area of Mauritius on the North coast of the island. Beach is beautiful, lots of street food, bars, restaurants to choose from.
Supermarkets, shops and malls all a short walking distance.
Plenty of day trips such as catamaran trips, glass bottom boats that leave from Grand Baie and if you fancy a little bit of extreme adventure then 20 mins away you can go sky diving and experience something out of this world with beautiful views of the island

Grand Baie is beautiful, so easy to get to shops, restuarants and beaches. Very busy though, and drivers tend to speed on the roads, and there is almost no pavement for walking in many places so please be carefil when walking along the road. Beaches are truly beautiful. We were able to easily get to restaurants and the food was really great -Toparadis served great food and we got our food very quickly, the cocktails here were very good; the most amazing food was at Ocean V, Rooftop restaurant, the staff were amazing, friendly and so welcoming and the view was unlike any other I had seen in Mauritius. You can also try the street food, it really is so safe and good. We took a boat cruise from Grand Baie to Gabrielle island and it was amazing, though not for the sensitive, as boat tends to rock quite a bit when the wind picks up- saw lots of flying fish and dolphins! Overall we had an amazing boat cruise on the Coral Princess with superb hosts, Kevin, Pascal, Carelle etc. Lunch was served on the boat when we got back. Lots of taxis and buses, though not so much on weekday nights, and lots during Thursday to Sunday day and nights.
I suggest using cash at the little stores if possible as there seemed to be a connectivity problem at at least 2 stores where I was charged for the purchase but they said the txn did not go through, and at one shop the lady was quite rude -keep your purchase slips as proof, or take a pic of the "card not supported message". Be prepared for the price of items to be increased the moment you speak another language (other than creole). Always negotiate at the markets!

Beautiful area with a lot to do.
Beautiful area with a lot to do. Many local shops around, with the Super U Mall within walking distance.
The roads are very narrow with hardly any space for pedestrians to walk. Renting of cars is impossible if planning a spontaneous trip, but there are local shops renting out bicycles and scooters.
Thank you so much for the warm welcome. From the beginning to the end. After along flight we were happy to get an early check in, this was amazing. It all felt like home. My family and i had unforgettable holiday.
The Villa was very clean and it would always be cleaned regularly ( thanx to Sweetie for the great work).
I would like to thank Chris, Margaret, Nazeer and the wife, Nadine and Sweetie for making our holidays amazing, We shall forever be thankful.
I can only recommend to anyone traveling to Mauritius.
+ Coconut Grove is very modern and well equipped with everything you need and has enough space to accommodate a family of 3-4
+ Fiona was very welcoming, was present for the handover of keys and available on Whatsapp whenever we needed
+ the pool is a hidden asset when the sky is overcast and you are not in the mood for going to the beach
+ the location is perfect for exploring the north of Mauritius!
+ there are many good shops nearby (GSR or Winners) and Masali - the best indian food that we've ever eaten
Both the owner and the staff were friendly, informative, and welcoming. The location is a quick 2 minute walk to a bus route, and therefore accessible to Grand Baie, Peyrebere, Moint Choisy and the rest of the North. They helped arrange tours and transportation as needed. The room was super clean and had the best shower during my entire stay in Mauritius. The amenities and set up in the room were very thoughtful for comfort and a multi-day stay. The breakfast was appreciated. And, the cat is lovely too!
The place was great, actually exceeded our expectations in positive way. The staff was nice and kind, giving us all the information for the hotel and the outdoor activities, that can be easily arranged with the nearby travel agency. Also, the room was comfort, with everything that is needed for perfect stay in Mauritius. The breakfast was also nice, but the most attractive facility in the hotel was the rooftop pool, especially with swimming during the night, looking at the stars...
A lovely place to stay as part of our trip around Mauritius. The apartment is modern and well appointed, and the property feels peaceful. It’s well located, close to the shopping center. The owners were incredibly kind and communicative, warm and helpful. They really made the stay even better for us. Beds were very comfy and the quality sleep was guarantee. Swimming in the mornings and nights in the pool was like a cherry on the cake. Thank you!
A very lovely property in Trou Aux Biches on the north west coast of Mauritius. Plenty of space, with a swimming pool and a fully equipped property. Ideal for a family and Perfect for a long stay.
Our Hostess Ancerine was excellent throughout, as was the owner Siva, very proactive and always ready to help.
They made our experience very enjoyable, so we could take advantage of the beautiful beaches. Highly recommended 👌!
Hotel is soo good.. Hotel owner Simon is very helpful and very kind lady.. she is like a friend.. she is allways ready to help you 7/24.. She is the one you need in Mauritius..hotel location is perfect.. and the sea view is amazing..you can stay there and watch the sea whole day..you can reach everywhere from hotel..rooms are so clean.. workers allways ready to help you..you feel you are staying at home..
New villa with all amenities. Each of the 3 rooms has its own bathroom with shower - in fact, all 3 rooms are master bedrooms. Excellent veranda with a large dining table and a fan - all our meals were only there. And of course having a pool is a big plus. The location is perfect - close enough to the beach but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. If possible, we will definitely come back again.
The rooms were nice and big including the bathroom and shower were great. The hotel is pretty and modern including the great pool and spa area. People at the paid bar and coffee shop are very professional and nice. Also people at the reception were very responsive and professional. It's located close to 2 shopping centers one you can walk to, but a car is preferable to get to the beach.
Lux Grand Baie is good value for money as the residence rooms are big and spacious - the only drawback was the noise from the traffic on the road. The food is of a very high standard and probably the best we have had in Mauritius after staying in 5 star resorts. The staff are very helpful and friendly however there could have been more service around the pool areas.
The hotel was very well situated to visit the Grand Baie area. Food was excellent. Staff were very friendly with special mention of Ashraf, who cleaned my room and Krishna who liaised with us when we checked in. All the other staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel .
The best location -the hotel is located right across the pereybere public beach...with crystal clear water. The hotel rooms and facilities were very clean....and the staff are wonderful.
As I have two separate reviews to make, this hotel is truly one of the best in Mauritius. Some simple negative sides aside, this property truly deserves its current rating on booking.com
The food is excellent, a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. Employees are extremely friendly. We loved the shower. Overal the complex is maintained very well.
