Tha staff's were friends. It is very good location near to the souq and the Nizwa fort which is at walkable distance and can witness Omani traditional dance and dramas.
The food in the Turkish restaurant just below the hotel was very good.

Nizwa is a lovely city with lots to see however it is also central to many other towns and sights within easy drives. The highlight for me is the Friday goat market and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Nizwa.

Nizwa is a beautiful little town you need to stop by if you are venturing around in Oman. The Nizwa fort is a must. I learned a lot about the country and Nizwa by walking around and seeing the exhibition and everything else. Also in Nizwa, you have a small and cute souq. I found the prices in Nizwa lower than in Muscat, especially the saffron. If you plan on going to Muscat after Nizwa, I would also recommend buying a scarf there. I also loved the fruit market where I got to taste Halwa in different styles (something I wouldn't have dared try at a restaurant) and just the smells and atmosphere were incredible.

True old walled city unlike any other in the Gulf.
True old walled city unlike any other in the Gulf. Citadel is worth it and well preserved. Old souks are also real. It is a nice hub to visit the area and fort around it in Hamra, Bahla and even to go to Jabal Akhdar. strongly recommend one of the charming hotels inside the old city. Problem with Niza (like much of Oman) is that outside of nature activities, there is not much to do. no good restaurants, festivals, concerts, or places to go out to.

Very nice city, souq, castle, fort and mosque all close one to each other, so really convenient to visit them together. A lot of restaurants, bars and amenities. Qaboos mosque 10mins far from city center, it needs a car to be reached.

people ale super nice. they were talking to us, waving, asking if we are happy here and wishing us good stay. beautiful old town, gorgeous old buildings. amazing and not so priced food. in central souq prices are high, but if you go to eastern souq you can meet nice people and buy good things in great prices! there’s drinkable water on the streets for free. lots of plants in whole city. unlike many big cities, Nizwa is very walkable, you don’t need a car or taxi to explore it. highly recommended:)

Nizwa is a small yet beautiful town located at an hour and a half drive from Muscat. Drive from Muscat to Nizwa and back has breathtaking views especially during winters and people are friendly.
Trip to Nizwa Souq is a must and drive around the city is enjoyable too. Souq offers the opportunity to experience the culture and heritage of Oman and Antique shops are amazing.
For those going to Jebel Akhdar, its just 35 - 40 kms from Nizwa, depending on which part of the town you are in.
It can be just a day trip for those travelling from Muscat or a weekend retreat if someone is looking for a small break.
Overall really worth a visit.
Beautiful small hotel, just a few rooms, well-maintained by the owner who is proud of his improvements to the property. Location and atmosphere are superb, right in the heart of historic Nizwa. Easy, pleasant walks to restaurants, attractions, and the souq. Owner is happy to suggest things to do in the area or arrange excursions. It felt more like staying with relatives than being in a hotel, very cozy, comfortable, and personal. Enjoyed the entire stay very, very much.
Super kind and helpful owners, made us feel very welcome and accommodated us staying longer last minute. We stayed the third night at their sister hotel, the Omani Guest house, which is a few minutes down the road. We actually preferred it there, it is set back from the road so is a little more peaceful, and has a small garden with an aviary. Get their breakfast, the tea flavored with thyme is amazingly delicious. Highly recommend staying with these guys in Nizwa.
We were at Jebel Akhdar during the EID break and hotels were fully booked. The nearest and the most convenient hotel we found was Ewann. The property is located in a place where nothing much is available which in fact makes it more convenient because it was so accessible. Food was not available but talabat delivered our orders. We spent only one night, so it wouldn’t do justice giving feedback about the property, but the one night we spent, I guess went well.
Oman is opening up to tourist and this is one of the great initiatives to revitalize the city’s old, traditional houses and incorporate them into the tourism industry. Beautifully restored and very conveniently place, quite literally right in the center of the old town one can walk to Nizwa fortress or the souq in less than time that it would take to Google directions.
Note: Streets can be narrow so don’t drive in there unless you know what you’re doing.
The facilities are great and the staff and food are fantastic. While it is a little outside Nizwa (about 20 min drive all on main roads) taxis are plentiful and can be ordered from the hotel. As a relaxing environment (the pool is huge and the two bars incredibly well presented), this is a little like an oasis for those that need a quick recharge visiting the treasure trove of cultural adventure that is Oman.
The hotel is several kilometers away from the historic part of Nizwa, which did not bother us, because it was mainly about overnight stay. We planned to visit the monuments of Nizwa for the next day. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast, so you use the offer of a nearby coffee shop. As for the room, it is large, equipped with a comfortable bed, fridge and air conditioning. The hotel staff is helpful and nice.
It is a nice hotel in a traditional omani house with nice and clean rooms. It is a very special place you should not miss. The roof top terrace has a super nice view and a nice seating area to enjoy the nights up there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect location directly in the old town, next to the fort and souq!
Breakfast was ok.
The location in the centre of Nizwa. Near the souk. There was a public parking space near the hotel. The receptionist went with me and guided me through the narrow streets of Nizwa to the parking space.
The renovation of the old building into the hotel was incredible.
You can order a breakfast, which is in a nearby neighboring hotel.
It was very nice stay. The hotel was neat and clean.
Tha staff's were friends. It is very good location near to the souq and the Nizwa fort which is at walkable distance and can witness Omani traditional dance and dramas.
The food in the Turkish restaurant just below the hotel was very good.
I picked this apartment, near the main highway, so that I can go to Salalah / Muscat easily. The location is good w.r.t. highway but if you have to take dinner, it is isolated. The room was okay. We were 3 adults and the hotel offered the 3rd bed with mattress, which was comfortable.
Awesome location, very clean room, beautiful paintings and design. There was an actual artist in the hotel at all times who did the paintings in the hotel, and we could watch him paint.
First hotel in Oman where I got enough towels. ❤️
Very comfortable bed.
The rooftop terrace was my personal dream. So peaceful, view over Nizwa included. Also the ard for the breakfast was nice - and the location in the heart of Nizwa old town was superb. Bed was comfy and WIFI working. Very cozy place and real Omani ambiance.
A reasonable price for Nizwa well located near the fort. The garden is a peaceful oasis for relaxing. Breakfast in the gazebo was good food in a pleasant location. Complimentary tea and coffee was a pleasant touch
Excellent location near Nizwa Fort and restaurants. Spacious accommodation with everything we needed. Nice view of the fort. Free parking onsite. Easy check in and check out. Quiet. Clean. Had a great stay!
Staff very pleasant - comfortable, clean rooms - all new building and furniture. By far the newest and nicest looking hotel in Nizwa. Al a carte breakfast had lovely Bircher muesli.
Hotel is a traditional Omani residence with same style of decoration. Room was very comfortable. Great location in old quarter of town very close to Souq and Nizwa Fort.
