The room we got was a great size with a beautiful view of the water. Our flight was changed and we were able to extend our stay for a late check out (for a fee). Restaurant was great.

Our trip was a bit of a roller coaster , but overall we enjoyed our time there .
Highlights , 83 islands distillery tour was awesome . Mele beach bar great food , awesome staff and location and the fire show on Friday nights fantastic . Kids can swim at the beach , have a feed and watch the shoe -A+ . The markets were awesome as usual .
Low lights . We’ve been going to Vanuatu for over 20 yrs , and our recent trip to the cascades saddened us and emptied our wallets .
The current owners havnt maintained the place and the entry fee is extortion . The roads are next level knarly All 3 of our airport transfers were no shows which was disappointing but not the end of the world .
The people of Vanuatu are why we come back every time . They really are the friendliest people on earth .
Special shout out to Gideon and his family from Havanah eco lodge .
They treated us like family and we had a great time over there .

Port Villa is heaven on earth, I have been there 3 times and will always go back, with all the natural disasters this island goes through people are still so friendly and happy all the time, they live a simple life and always have a reason to smile, i strongly advise visiting the locals as it much better than staying in the resorts, the rivers , lagoons and beachs are surreal and its all so clean, the locals will always say hello and help you with anything you need.
There are plenty of taxis to go around, I would stay away from resorts for food and go into town as the resorts are extremely expensive and the town prices are so much cheaper.

Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained.
Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained. Indeed the waterfront esplanade area was attractive apart from the toilets behind the stage set up for MAC festival which had a $1.00 AU entry fee. Our trip on the coral viewing boat was worthwhile. The Museum was a great disappointment especially given the high entry fee and the seeming lack of curatorial care in presenting historical perspectives such as WW2 events and impacts of colonisation.

The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite.
The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite. There were good restaurants, particularly the Waterfront Bar and Grill. It was easy to get a taxi or bus on the street, but asking the hotel to get you a taxi may result in a long wait for their preferred driver to arrive.
We heard several stories from disappointed people who booked resorts where there was nothing to do and had ferry charges to get back to the mainland.

Exceptional place if you wish to get into the local lifestyle and explore the culture. There are nice places to visit like Mele Beach bar for Fire Dance, Blue Lagoon and Iririki Island for Snorkeling, Kayaking, swimming, casino and a lot more to offer that too at very affordable rates.

The location, food, beach, reef, owners, staff and tranquillity are simply terrific.
The complimentary continental breakfast is excellent. Fresh local fruit, great coffee, nice pastries, and all sitting looking out at the ocean. Local fish is great, so make the most of the daily special, it's often fresh fish.
Marc and Constance are two of the nicest and most interesting people you could wish to meet. You feel less like a guest at a hotel and more like staying with friends or family, but in a very nice and non-intrusive way.
This place is great!!really recommend the villas😍😍😍 !! Very nice, spacious, with cooking facilities, bathtubs in the big bathroom,laundry....
Can probably sleep a couple with 2 kids.
Swimming pool is great and also swimming pool playground for kids .
Location is great only 5 minutes to city center and next to a big food market, and also local market 👍💯💯
The staffs are very pleasant 🥰
This is not my first time in Vanuatu and I wish I knew this Cocomo resort before.
Will definitely come back in the Villas 🥰
I loved this place; it was easily my favourite stay in Vanuatu. The place is brand new, beautiful bathroom and the kitchen had everything I need to cook up fish I caught. Great to relax, lie in a hammock on the balcony overlooking the water. It's got its own pier/jetty where I was able to get picked up for a fishing charter. Colin was really friendly, and helped organise transport not only across to the island but also a shuttle back to the airport after my stay. Only wish I could've stayed longer.
Exceptional hotel. Very comfortable room, great amenities both in the room and on the hotel grounds. Well equipped kitchen gives travelers with special dietary needs all the comforts of home.
The hotel is right on the beach overlooking Port Vila Harbor. Great location for a tropical resort. Relaxing views from the room and veranda (if you're fortunate enough to get a beach front room). If you're planning a trip to Port Vila the Ramada is a great choice.
Great and affordable self contained accommodation with everything we required including prearranged car hire. For a small fee they even arranged to pick us up from the airport and all though our flight was delayed until midnight they were still there smiling and waiting for us. The property was clean, well maintained and in a convenient location. Thanks to the friendly staff for adding to the enjoyment of our stay.
Very good value for money! We stayed 4 nights and were very happy! The bed was super comfortable, large room and a balcony.
Beth is the sweetest. She helped us out when we need to store our luggage for a couple of days, while going to Tanna. She even drove us to the airport!
Located close to the airport close to the highway. A little from the centrum but you can take local busses, easy and cheap.
Grounds were maintained and beautiful. Huts over water were nice. Bad internet but its same on island everywhere. Beds were comfortable, showers were nice and hot water good. Shuttle boat was free and inclusive to go back and forth. People were super friendly. Manager, Karen was very nice and accommodated our hotel room change with great customer service. Tours were good. On site Spa.
Bearing in mind that the area was still suffering from the effects of two recent cyclones (which for the hotel meant for example no pool and a limited menu), I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from my room and from the restaurant area was stunning. The hotel is in a good location at one end of the shops etc in Port Vila, near to the market.
Clean comfortable rooms with good beds and showers. A nice pool area. We stayed here just for a night before flying to Santo and it was very close and convenient to the airport with some nice bars and restaurants walking distance to the hotel. There is also a small shopping centre with a bakery and Cafe that was convenient. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
We were in Vanuatu for 4 days, the hotel is a perfect place to stay in Port Vila very close to the city center and the beach, the staff of the hotel is so kind and perfect they help you for everything.
The food of the breakfast is delicious and cooked by William so good. I wanted to thank the person again for his kindness :)
Ian and his staff were great, he went above and beyond to get us adjusted into Vanuatu - suggesting places to go and going over a map. He answered questions and helped us out when we asked. The other staff were also lovely! Pool was nice. Fridge also worked really well - better than others we had used in Vanuatu.
The breakfast buffet was temporarily replaced by an a la carte menu (apparently due to the recent cyclones) however they would provide items not on the menu, if you asked. Were told by the hotel beforehand that hot water was not reliable (again, due to cyclones) but it was fine. Staff were typically excellent.
-the Melanesian is a short walk to the city centre, very close to the pain street, market, museum, restaurants
-comfortable rooms and bed
-our room has double access, once facing the pool and one facing the back corridor which was convenient
-good room service for dining
-very attentive front desk staff
Janessa went out of her way to make our trip comfortable. She droves us into town, made us an excellent breakfast and recommended places to go. The accommodation was comfortable, very clean and just 5 minutes walk from the airport.
Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Port Villa
Everything was so well organized and everyone was really nice, we felt really welcome staying there.
Everything is accurately described and we got more than what we expected.
This was probably the best accommodation we had in the whole of Vanuatu.
The location was very accessible to all..the place was quite, comfy feel like real home for me..Beth and staffs are very helpful and nice..i love the place and my room..thank you wo much Beth for dropping me to the airport..see you soon..
The hotel provided a true travel experience - local ni-Vanuatu people book this hotel daily so was able to meet & have enjoyable coversations from many different islands including remote islands.
