The property is in a gorgeous location overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains. Lots of options for hiking and sightseeing nearby. Cozy and comfortable cabin had everything we needed. I’m so glad that we booked 2 nights - you’ll regret leaving after just one night. We didn’t see the lake monster, but did have beautiful aurora borealis shows both nights. This was our favorite place to stay on our whole trip around Iceland.

The property is located in beautiful and natural surroundings. one of our best stays in Iceland! to top it all the owner Asdis is a wonderful person who had great tips and was always available for help. She makes yummy chia and fruit yoghurt! The property has a hot tub in the beautiful outdoors and we had the most relaxing time enjoying it! A must go place if you plan to be in the area!

Es una casa gran, ample y cómode. Disposa d'una cuina amb tot l'equipament necessari i les habitacions són cómodes. Fácil de trobar, está ubicada a prop de la carretera i a pocs quilómetres de Egilsstadir. L'atenció rebuda pel propietari va ser molt bona, en tot moment.

Super cute little cottage. Kids loved playing outside in amongst the trees and met the adorable resident reindeer. The tv had Netflix which was an unexpected bonus.

The cabin was cozy and private, the owner was gracious and had great communication. The hot tub was a highlight, and the environment was perfect!
