Absolutely loved the character and charm of the hotel, the facilities, the lounge area for breakfast/evening drinks, ease of use of the washer/dryer that was there. The hotel was in a quiet residential section of Kyoto, yet access to Nijo Castle, the Imperial Palace and downtown Kyoto was very easy and within a 15 minute walk. Access to the train stations and Uber/Taxi's were equally easy. Amazing local restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel - highly recommend Daigan around the corner for an amazing sushi with an engaging/entertaining/welcoming chef.

We were welcomed by great staff who spoke English very well, making our settling in quick and easy after a long trip. The wooden decor throughout the place created a warm and comfortable atmosphere, further enhanced by a quaint garden right inside. Its location is a winner, nestled in the historical part of Kyoto, making most popular tourist attractions easily accessible. Staying in Kiyomizu 1 was a treat with a beautiful view over the Yasaka Pagoda from the second floor. The very unique Japanese breakfast experience was a delightful start to our day, introducing us to local flavors and customs. We cherished our stay and Campton Kiyomizu will be a choice destination whenever we find ourselves in Kyoto again.

Very nice personnel, very forthcoming. Beautiful house with a great living room to sit together and grab a bite to eat. Very clean and the toilets are the greatest thing ever. Everything you would need is there, a TV, a washingmashine a functional kitchen and the cleaners come every 2 days for a bedding / towel change. Definitely worth the price.
