If you are looking for somewhere close to nature and on the River then this place has it! The cottage I had was right on the river and I was able to sit outside and enjoy the sunset watching local long tail boats pass by periodically. The Hosts Roger and Khun Sao really made you feel truly welcome and at home. They even helped make a restaurant booking in a nearby restaurant, drove me there and picked me up when I was ready to go back. Breakfast the next morning was very hearty and different food kept being placed on the table including some of Roger’s home made sweet rolls filled with Crème Anglais! Delicious and all that served with a lovely cup of local Thai coffee! Both Roger and Khun Sao were absolutely the finest hosts and the place was designed and built by Roger himself! Very functional and close to nature! Didn’t try the pool as I arrived late afternoon and left early morning. Oh and there were no mosquitos in the room which was a bonus! Would recommend to any traveler who does not need the frills of a luxury 5 star hotel and is happy being in the midst of the local community with fine hosts that engage with their guests so well! Thank you Khun Sao and Roger! Will be back on my next ride through southern Thailand!

The appartment is located in a quiet suburbs of Surat Thani, in a newly built district. We appreciated the AC, WiFi, and 2 bathrooms. The landlord communicated with us quickly via Booking.com messages all the time, we received clear instructions how to get the key for the appartment and we had some refreshments ready upon our arrival late in the evening. The landlord also immediately fixed the issue we encountered at our arrival.
