It's a short train ride to reach Montserrat Monastery from there, so we were able to arrive at the site in the early morning. The house is spacious and clean, and it is comfortable to stay there. The owner was friendly and helpful. He met us on a stormy August night to pick us up from the train station, and on the next day when we took the train from Montserrat Monastery back to town, he brought our luggage there to ensure that we were able to catch the next train to Barcelona. We really appreciate his friendliness and help!

Because I didn't have a car, Juan picked me up from the train. He did not only bring me to the appartment, he toured me around and showed me all kind of cool stuf! The place is a little oasis in La Garrotxa. Excellent setting for a week/weekend away. We stayed in the little cottage close to the pool and couldn't have been better. The whole house is tastefully decorated, breakfast is quality and surroundings are quiet and beautiful. Paul is an excellent host!

The pool was sparkling clean, and the grounds were very well maintained. The BBQ area was fantastic too, we used it nearly every night. Although there are 4 separate accommodations, everyone was very respectful of each other, and we often felt as if we had the place to ourselves. Ripoll is just a 5 minute drive away and is a lively town with lots of restaurants and shops. There are cycle and foot paths nearby too.
