We had a really nice appartement close to the pool and sun in the morning. It's clean, nice pool. Walking distance to town where there are a lot of good restaurants. On spot there is even a Spar where you can buy most common groceries.

Situated in Vega de San Mateo and within 25 km of Parque de Santa Catalina, Viviendas vacacionales San Mateo has a garden, allergy-free rooms, and free WiFi. We stayed here for two nights during the Almond Blossom Festival in Tejeda. We had a great stay here. The unit is beautiful, San Mateo is very charming, and there is a great bakery directly across the street. We had dinner twice as Tasco Baco — highly recommend. We stayed here the beginning of February and were not cold like others mentioned.

View over the harbour towards the mountains provide beautiful sunsets. Agaete quieter and more authentic than the South Island mass tourist resorts. Good seafood restaurants and good local Spar shops with large supermarkets 5km drive away. Friendly host provided good communication. Stopped for 2 weeks and host arranged for towels, bed linen and villa cleaning after 1st week; which showed good attention to what is important.
