We really enjoyed our two night break in this lovely cozy property. The location was great, so close to the National Air Museum which was well worth a visit. Concord was amazing to see! A short drive to North Berwick and Yellow Craig beach, both lovely to visit with the dog. Yummy fish n chips take away from North Berwick. So easy to catch the train into Edinburgh from the station opposite to the cottage. We enjoyed the log burner and watching movies on an evening. Yes the cottage is small but it’s very clean and nicely decorated with a modern feel. My 2 girls were happy with their single beds and we were comfy in the double bed. As mentioned restricted head height upstairs but we didn’t find this a problem. (I am only 5ft so no issues for me!) Thank you we would definitely return again and recommend to friends.

The Livingston Designer Centre, The Elements and The Almondvale Retail Centre are all within an 8-minute drive from the property. Free private parking is available on site. Location was gorgeous - very private and extremely comfortable. Historical interest too. Host was lovely and we kept in contact throughout the stay to book breakfasts each day. The breakfasts were exceptional - good value for money - beautifully cooked full breakfast or scrambled egg and smoked salmon, for example. Plenty of tea/coffee and toast/croissants/cereal/yoghurts/fruit too. Would 100% come back again. Thanks to Greig for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming Skye too!

In the Newington area, the apartments are a 15-minute walk from Holyrood Park. May's communication is top notch! Very clear instruction for check-in and out, the fridge was filled with essentials and the apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable, with a super convenient location. Definitely will embark at WM when I travel to Edinburgh again.

The 'Castle Gogar Cottage' is attached to Gogar Castle - and the hosts' home - and is located at the end of a picturesque driveway just off the main Glasgow Road, Edinburgh. As such it is a short drive to a host of local attractions, quality restaurants, bars, golf courses and sports venues. Despite having Edinburgh Airport as our immediate neighbour we were never disturbed by any of the aircraft operations. The quality of The Cottage's furnishings is exceptionally high and the presentation was of the highest standard. The Cottage is superbly well appointed with quality fitments, bedlinen, towelling and the like. The bedroom suites, bathroom and lounge are all wonderfully comfortable, well heated and delightfully cosy. The kitchen was very spacious and, again, extremely well appointed. Our host, Donna, welcomed us on arrival and quickly explained the layout and the attractions of the property. Donna was warm, engaging and considerate and her attention to the guests’ needs is flawless. Communications were speedy and helpful. The rain deterred us from using the outdoor patio but The Cottage's indoor facilities more than compensated for the dreary weather. We look forward to making a return visit as soon as we can and would highly recommend 'Castle Gogar Cottage' to all discerning visitors to Edinburgh.
