They helped us plan our climb to Ella's Rock and lent us flashlights.

Cozy cottage is the ideal place to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature! The cottage is located a bit away from Ella City (too many tourists, too much hustle and bustle!). Viraj, the hotel manager, picked us up where the taxi driver had left us. Viraj really cares about his guests and is extremely welcoming! My husband and I were also very warmly received by the staff, who were always smiling and friendly. We booked the room with a view of Ella Rock View Point: just breathtaking! The room was clean and spacious with an en-suite bathroom. The sunrise and sunset from the balcony are a marvel 😌 . Kitalella train station is a few metres from the cottage and it is from here that the path to Ella Rock view point is taken. Viraj organized a guide for us to go sightseeing in Ella: temples, Nine Arches Bridge, Little Adam's Peak, Ravana Zipline... Nirmal(our guide) is a childhood friend of Viraj and knows the area very well. We had a wonderful, happy and funny day with Nirmal. We highly recommend him! Last but not least: the staff at cozy cottage really go out of their way for their guests!

The host is very kind and helpful, the space outside and inside the room is excellent, the view is very good, the location is great, it is very clean, and the breakfast is wonderfull and delicious.

Spacious rooms, amazing view, very clean, very romantic, huge and tasty breakfast. Would definately come back. Very quiet but close to the city (10-15min walk)

Breakfast brilliant. The food was beautifully cooked and presented with different dishes each day. Our room was cleaned and our bed sheets changed after two nights so very clean and fresh.

Sapu and his wife were very kind and their accommodation offers comfortable facilities with gorgeous views of valleys and hills of Ella. We adored relaxing on the balcony, while admiring the birds, jungle fowls, giant squirrels, and a very particular species of deer. The tuk tuks arranged by Sapu to the cottage were convenient and recommended. For all other short or long trips use Uber or Pick Me apps (significantly cheaper with peace of mind). Reason: Tuk tuk drivers charged us 2500 (LKR) one way to see the Nine Arch Bridge, which didn’t make sense since they charged us 700 one way every other time. We didn’t bother to discuss these costs, but strange things can happen, so be sure to use very good communication and be diligent. The small road to the cottage can only be accessed by tuk tuk or by walk. Plan carefully, use Uber or Pick Me apps, and communicate well with your driver about this. The host may not support this idea only because he’s trying to support the business of his drivers and friends. We highly recommend dinner at the Clay Pot, Matey, and the White Rabbit.

Ella 100 View Cottage ligger i Ella, 6 km fra Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, 50 km fra Hakgala Botaniske Have og 1,7 km fra Ella Spice Garden. Der er egen indgang på dette Bed and Breakfast. The location is just amazing! Quiet and peaceful. The french windows of our room open up to the terrace overlooking the valley with a view of a huge waterfall on the other side of the valley. You're a 20min walk from the center through a shortcut along the train rails (Google Maps doesn't show the way but the host/locals would gladly point it out for you). Anyway, you don't need to go much to the center since there's not much interesting there. Ella is visited for its wonderful nature and hikes. The staff was amazing, always smiling and ready to help. Our stay at 100 View Ella Cottage was just perfect!

Fornemmelsen af sund bjergluft, frodige planter, blomster, te, træer og lydene fra alle de forskellige dyr og fugle går op i en højere enhed, når man ankommer her i Tea Cabins. De arkitekttegnede, hyggelige hytter ligger midt i et bjerglandskab med den mest fantastiske udsigt. Maden her er den bedste vi har fået i Sri Lanka. Og man sidder i den lille, hyggelige restaurant og fornemmer venligheden fra personalet samtidig med at fugle og egern hopper rundt i træer og buske lige foran bordet. Gå ikke glip af dette unikke paradis.

Saddle Cottage ligger i Ella, 2,2 km fra Demodara Nine Arch Bridge og 900 meter fra Ella Spice Garden. Der er gratis WiFi. Samtlige ferieboliger har balkon med udsigt over bjergene. Amazing jungle, garden and waterfall view. I spent hours basking in nature, and observing the birds. The weather changes suddenly in Ella, so having the balcony to rest and stay dry was amazing. Sometimes at night, the clouds rush in, and you’re sitting in a thunder storm… seriously a one of a kind experience. The sunrise view in the morning is also exceptional. The host and his family are extremely kind, helping with travel plans, and preparing meals. Meals were always served at the exact time I requested, and filled with local vegetables. I was often offered coffee and tea as well. The room is clean and cozy, with a romantic mosquito net draping over the bed. The hot water in the showers works well! The access to hikes and downtown is also great. You can walk the railway with the locals to get around… also a one of a kind experience. I can’t say enough about this nook, nestled away above the hustle of the touristy downtown.
