Located in Meishan, lai Home Country Cottage B&B boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Free private parking is available on site. We were looking for a quieter alternative to Alishan and this was perfect! The area had beautiful hikes and we were able to have them basically to ourselves. The cabin was super cozy and it was a lovely place to relax for a few days. The owners are very friendly and the food was great too! We took the bus from Chiayi one direction and a taxi the other way, so you have options depending on your budget. Definitely recommend

Offering a terrace and views of the mountain, Long Yun Leisure Farm is situated in Fenchihu, 25 km from Alishan. Guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant. The dinner was truly excellent. Given all meals are included, the hotel was great value for money. The staff also took us on a nighttime walk after dinner. The hotel itself is in a beautiful tea field and very remote. The rooms were comfortable and warm in the winter but - remember to bring your own towel!
