La Merced Del Alto, hotel in Cachí

Located in the Calchaqués Valley, in the heart of the Salta mountains, the elegant La Merced Del Alto Hotel offers a wine cellar with tastings and outdoor swimming pool.

The place is wonderful, the architecture goes nice with the landscape and the setting is gorgeous. Incredible views. You are at a shirt distance from Cachi and at the same time you disconnect from everything. Its the second time I stay and would stay again

Tampu, hotel in Cachí

Located in Cachi, 492 feet from the main square, Tampu features accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking and a garden. The hotel has family rooms.

The hotel has an inner court with a pool. There is a little restaurant also within it where you have breakfast (media lunas and bread with jam, tea/coffee, orange juice). Our room and bathroom were both very spacious. Cachi is very small so everything in the town is well within walking distance.

Hosteria Automovil Club Argentino Cachi, hotel in Cachí

Hosteria Automovil Club is set in a privileged location in Cachi, located 98 mi from Salta. Wi-Fi is free and there is an outdoor swimming pool, a children's playground, and barbecue facilities.

Good, quiet location in Cachi. Good restaurant. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had somehow ended up with two bookings for the same night due to a Booking.com error, and the management at the hotel canceled the second reservation the same day with no charge. The manager said he thought we were booking two separate rooms, but when we explained what happened, they were willing to work with us. Hotel is situated in a large, grassy property on a hill with good parking and a playground for kids.

Finca Santana, hotel in Cachí

Providing mountain views, Finca Santana in Cachí provides accommodations and a garden. There's a sun terrace and guests can access free Wifi and free private parking.

Finca Santana is an extraordinary property remotely tucked away up in a valley outside Cachi with views for miles. The property is impeccably appointed both inside and out. The 10 hectare grounds are an oasis and a veritable botanical garden with all sorts of flowers, fruit trees, kitchen gardens, a pond, a roaring creek that you can hear throughout the property and a beautiful slope with about 100 saguaro cacti across the creek. Adriana your host will give you afternoon snacks and a glass of wine and a great breakfast the next morning. She can also offer you dinner for an additional nominal charge that we took her up on because we couldn't bring ourselves to leave and have dinner in town. We were on a 3 day 2 night whirlwind tour of Cachi and Cafayate from Salta and wish we had made it a week long trip instead. We are already planning on coming back again with friends and will definitely slow things down. Give Cachi the 2-3 days and nights it deserves and treat yourself to a relaxing stay here. One of the most amazing properties we have ever stayed at. 11 stars.

Cachi is a wonderful little town in a complete colonial...

Cachi is a wonderful little town in a complete colonial style situated at 2500 meters altitude. This helps with the temperature, which is around 25 degrees while it’s 30+ in Cafayate. Around the large square with tall, shady trees, there are several restaurants. All Argentine towns have such a large square, green and with shady trees. The squares, which are always called 9th of July Square or another famous date, attract both tourists and locals, and especially in the evening, there is a rich social life with music and performances. As always, people sit and drink mate tea from characteristic cups with built-in straws. Read more here: https://www.inditravel.org/en/salta-cafayate-cachi-road-trip-argentina/

We stayed 2 nights and it was just right.

We stayed 2 nights and it was just right. I regret the museum was not open when we were there. A recent storm had knocked out the internet in the whole town and only one restaurant had it working. The main square is a charming oasis of green in the white-washed town that is clean and inviting.

Cachi was the jewel of the towns we visited during 3 weeks...

Cachi was the jewel of the towns we visited during 3 weeks in Argentina. The hotel was clean, contemporary with local art work, friendly employees, and easy walking distance to the plaza. The view of the hotel courtyard and pool was beautiful with Cachi in the background. Cachi was very walkable and clean. We happened to be there the weekend of the yearly music festival. We were too tired to attend but could hear the folk music from our hotel room, which was fun. If this could be a problem for sleeping you might want to check the date of the January festival, but it added to the charm to see the musicians arriving in costumes and and hear people singing along. This is a BIG festival in a small, charming town.

Cachi is a beautiful small town.

Cachi is a beautiful small town. We spent only 1 day but I would suggest 2-3 minimum. There are plenty of small towns nearby and some TOP NOTCH wineries and bodegas to explore. We're going back again and slowing it WAY DOWN.

There is absolutely nothing to detain the visitor in Cachi.

There is absolutely nothing to detain the visitor in Cachi. It is totally devoid of charm or attraction and there is no reason to stay. The restaurants are of a very poor standard and the quality of the food and of service is dire. A forty minute wait after ordering was not unusual and then the food would be cold and virtually inedible. We could not finish any of the meals that were provided. Cachi is, of course, on a wonderful route through the Andes and is difficult to avoid. If there is time, the traveller on this route should continue to the nice small town of Molinos with some lovely old colonial buildings, attractive adobe houses. and a very interesting church. .It also has a very nice hotel - the Hacienda de Molinos , a former residence of a Governor of the Province - - with a very, very good restaurant. It is well worth the visit.

The cabin had a cozy feel like home. The beds were comfortable and everything you need is available to you, snacks, drinks, games, reading materials. At night you can capture a glimpse of the milky way and thousands of shinning stars. Sandra the host was absolutely amazing. She made us feel so welcomed and went the extra mile to find us when we got lost. Breakfast is hand delivered to you in the morning with fruits, pastries and spreads. I would recommend this cabin to anyone staying in Cachi.

Sandra was very warm and friendly. Main area with kitchen very cute and fantastic views to the hills. Bed very comfortable. Gorgeous decorations throughout cottage and garden, a delight to look at. Adequate breakfast provided that is suitable for take away if need to leave early. Don't though, as the property and Cachi itself deserve more time than we had. I really loved the quirky sounds the toilet cistern made refilling... sounded like aliens! I really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Sandra!

the fabulous location up a dirt track just a few kms from the town of cachi. We could not have had a more staggering view of the mountains and because the bungalow had a terrace going all the way round the house you could enjoy views from all angles. we had a delightful host who brought us a local liqueur and some walnuts, then later arrived with a plate of grapes the kitchen was well stocked and they left coffee bags as well as tea

The views of the mountains and surroundings incredibly enhance the stay. In the morning there are horses to be seen across from the fence, a dog to greet you, and and grapes from the orchard to taste. This was a fantastic place to stay while in Cachi. Close enough to get into town easily, but a 5 minute drive away and you feel like you are in the mountains and at peace. Communication was excellent.

The location is very quiet and a stream passes right next to the window, it is very relaxing. The house is very interesting, a 100 year old Spanish building, surrounded by mountains and fields with crops. We only stayed there for one night on our way to Cafayate, but it would have been nice to plan more nights in Cachi.

The house is really beautiful. The rooms are very nice, and the beds are really good. It's located centrally in Cachi, and it's only 5 minutes walking to the restaurants. It's a nice and small place and good to meet some other travellers in the garden. Sol and Sole were really nice, and prepared a good breakfast.

Really nice hotel, about a 20 min drive from Cachi on a gravel road. Staff was friendly and Checo gave us a nice tour of the vineyard. You can also try a glass of their wines for about 2 or 3 usd. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was nice.
