The peoperty is very comfortable especially the rooms were amazingly devided! The bathtub with mountainview was devine.
The restaurants were one by one amazing. The little cafe is as well a plus. They could add a little general story in the hotel, however when i asked for a band-aid they imediately brought it to my room. I could for ever how everything was amazing!

Niseko is the place you go when you want to travel/ski but want to feel like your still at home with all your comforts. The mountains pretty nice and not as busy as I expected in the late season.
Hirafu is stupidly over priced for accomodation and food. it's the Whistler of Japan. Lift tickets are expensive compared to most other resorts in Japan.
I only came because I had to do some training at Grand Hirafu.
I ended up staying in Kutchan for 5 of my 10 days as its more affordable and has more of an authentic Japanese feel, although you then may have to wait for buses and you'll be sacrificing the night life if thats what you're into.
Overall I would not return to Niseko unless it was a powder day and I was riding with some friends. Theres plenty of other options to choose from in my opinion.

Niseko is great for snowboarding.
Niseko is great for snowboarding. We were here for the powder and didn’t do much else. The mountain is not huge, but it is bigger than any other we have been to in Japan. The price is higher also. But you get some fun runs in and the tree areas are uncrowded. Would be great if there were more restaurants in the area that are halal or vegetarian friendly advertised on google maps. There are seasonal shuttle buses that operate in the area and the online maps and real time display of bus location is pretty good. Afuri has vegan ramen which was pretty good. Home Made Udon Goroku had vegetarian options also pretty delicious.

Hirafu (the main town around Niseko) is a vibrant ski town with lots of restaurants. I loved it. The skiing was great and so was the nightlife. You do not need a car if you stay in Hirafu. The only caution is that the town feels less Japanese and more “western,” with lots of western food and visitors from Australia, US and Europe. It felt less Japanese than I was expecting. For some visitors, that could be a plus. For others, it may be a negative.

Niseko is a very nice ski resort.
Niseko is a very nice ski resort. Everything is very well organised as in most Japanese ski resorts. The size of the ski resort and number of lifts allows to stay for a 2-3 days without feeling you rode this slope 10 times already. Connection with Niseko Village is not very convenient as you have to get quite high to move across. If you get there during peak season, book your restaurants way ahead otherwise, you will end up getting your food from the food trucks and Lawson. A mix of both will allow to manage your budget. Things are globally more expensive here than man other resorts.
For a capsule hotel, I’m not sure how you could improve this place. The staff were very helpful and always available (eg providing the correct charger converter, bus timetable etc), the entire place was very clean, there was ample space given to each person (a large amont under the bed + a large ski locker to keep your skiwear), and if you’re skiing in Moiwa, you are right next to the resort you could not be any closer. The lodge is conveniently located around 4 onsen closeby (within a 20 minute walk).
An excellent hotel in Niseko/Hirafu area that was not overpriced - a great find! Ski storage room in the lower floor, clean and simple rooms with comfy beds and everything needed, excellent food from the cafe (just check opening hours/days!), and a 7/11 across the street. The staff were very kind and helpful with our delayed bags and helping with forwarding our luggage to our next destination. The shuttle to and from the main town was also very helpful. Would very much recommend.
With so much of Niseko now fancy new apartment buildings and hotels, Grandpapa is a welcome old-school style ski lodge. Super friendly / helpful staff, comfortable rooms / beds, and a free shuttle bus that gets you to the Hirafu Gondola for 8am. It's also less than 10mins walk from most of the Hirafu restaurants and bars (and 2 mins from the famous Fridge Bar), but on a nice quiet street, so you get the best of both worlds. Very reasonably priced too!
This is the second time I have stayed here and it is still awesome. Rooms are a very good size and have good facilities. Excellent Onsen. Get breakfast included because the breakfast is very good and worth the extra money. Walking distance (less than 10 minutes) to Moiwa snow area. Has a courtesy shuttle bus to Niseko resorts. We had to eat in the hotel restaurant on a couple of nights and the meals were much less expensive than you would expect.
A great hotel. The staff were wonderful, the common areas and bedroom were spotlessly clean, the bedroom was extremely spacious and had everything one could need. The ski and boot room was very conveniently located. Great set breakfast with a good variety provided during the week I was there. One of the standouts was the indoor and outdoor hot baths, so relaxing after a day’s skiing. I will definitely be back. Location was very good for Hirafu.
Comfortable, good size rooms, quiet and dark. Food good in buffet. Location great for Niseko (tourist) Village but everything bar two hotel restaurants closed during our stay so little point to be here. However staff went out of way to support family. A big thank you! Location to gondola perfect but if your kids are at Go Snow better stay at Hirafu. Staff really were very helpful and kind! Free snowball makers and sledges.
Super nice and convenient hotel with exceptionally friendly and supportive staff! We enjoyed our stay in Niseko and at Chalet Ivy a lot! Highly professional ski rental service in the hotel. Reliable and friendly private shuttle service to/ from gondola. Opportunity to refresh at hotel onsen even after check-out. Overall, hotel with modern & high-quality appearance.
Staff were amazing and went above and beyond to help me on a number of occasions. Gave great advice on what activities to do in the surrounding area. A really cosy and friendly place that is a central location for all the ski slopes in Niseko. I left behind a couple of items by accident, they contacted me straight away and even posted it to my next hotel for me.
This is a true ski in/out hotel, you cannot ask for any better! The bed was comfy and the kitchenette was usable. Having a washer/dryer in the room was tops. People at reception all spoke English and engaged us in conversation on arrival…a rarity in Japan.
The hotel is located in harafu, which is the heart of niseko, full of restaurants and bars and shopping.
We loved ski in ski out location of the resort. The ski rental and ski pass purchase is available right on site and the walk to the lift is a sheer 10 meters. Coming back, we took the green slope all the way to our hotel entrance.
The lobby and bar is nice and cozy.
The onsen was lovely, featuring an outdoor area nestled within the snow- quite unique.
Amazing Park Hyatt Niseko. It's everything you need for a memorable and enjoyable vacation. Hospitable and accomodating staff. One of the happiest place and most relaxing ski resort. Plus the convenience of the Hotel bus is so comfortable from airport transfers pick-up and drop-off. Can't wait to be back for sure. Thank you Park Hyatt Niseko Team.
Great location near Grand Hirafu Center, which is main skiing resort among the 4. Less than 10 minutes walking to Aya chairlift; then you can skiing shuttle back and forth all 4 resorts. Close to town center and you can walk out to eat afterwards.
The view from hotel room provided a good view of the skiers. The convenience of a ski in ski out resort was great. We appreciated the ski instructors help together with the staff help to make us feel comfortable and confident as first time skiers.
Great place to stay that's super close to the slopes. Breakfast every morning was great, and the hosts were super helpful. They really went above and beyong my stay! Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in Grand Hirafu!
the room is big, but I’ve also never been to another property at Niseko, the only comparison I have is with Sapporo, Furano and Asahikawa hotels.
front desk service is excellent
