We were only there for one night to break our journey...
We were only there for one night to break our journey through the Mackenzie Basin. We had dinner at the hotel next door the Silverstream Hotel. Was a real country pub with a lovely warm fire and a hearty meal.MargaretNew Zealand

The unit has lots of heating and blanket/doona options. The kitchenette facilities were very adequate so we drove 5 mins to Fairlie and bought supplies from the supermarket to cook breakfast. The Silverstream hotel next door to the motel was our dinner choice and the meals were delicious and generous portions.LawrenceAustralia

This was good as I didn't to then have to rush. Strangely I ended up not seeing any staff during my comfortable stay.

Cooking facilities available. The bed is very comfortable. It is a short drive to Fairlie and also about half an hour drive to Tekapo. A great place to stay.
